Innowacje w jednostkach ochrony zdrowia w kontekście zmian klimatycznych – studium przypadku

The aim of the publication is to identify innovations that bring benefits to the environment in public healthcare units. The article's objective was achieved through a literature review and a case study of a selected public healthcare unit. Based on the results of the study of Public Hospital XYZ in Zabrze, it can be inferred that the unit primarily implements systemic ecological innovations. These solutions are sought to reduce the costs of energy, water, and medical materials consumption, as well as to avoid waste, while simultaneously having a positive impact on the environment. It should also be noted that there is a lack of innovation management in the examined entity. The article provides an overview of the latest literature, mainly in English, on innovation and ecological innovation, with particular emphasis on the services sector and healthcare units, which constitutes its main theoretical value.

Celem publikacji jest rozpoznanie innowacji przynoszących korzyści dla środowiska w publicznych jednostkach ochrony zdrowia. Cel artykułu osiągnięto poprzez studia literatury oraz przeprowadzone studium przypadku na wybranej publicznej jednostce ochrony zdrowia. Na podstawie otrzymanych wyników badania Publicznego Szpitala XYZ w Zabrzu wnioskować można, że jednostka wdraża przede wszystkim ekologiczne innowacje systemowe. Celem tych rozwiązań jest redukcja kosztów zużycia energii, wody i materiałów medycznych, a także unikanie marnotrawstwa, ale jednocześnie ma to również pozytywny wpływ na środowisko. Należy także zauważyć, że w badanym podmiocie brak jest zarządzania innowacjami. Artykuł zawiera przegląd najnowszej literatury, głównie angielskojęzycznej, z zakresu innowacji oraz innowacji ekologicznych ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem sektora usług i jednostek ochrony zdrowia, co stanowi jego główny walor teoriopoznawczy.

Social innovations allow for the improvement of society’s quality of life or a selected social group by implementing novel solutions addressing the specific issues faced by that group. Despite originating in the 1990s, this is still a relatively new concept. Promoting social innovations can take various forms, such as through social media. Consequently, questions arise regarding how social media can support social mobilization and idea exchange, as well as how they contribute to solving social problems. The aim of this article is to identify the role of social media in the process of social innovation. In pursuit of answers to these questions and to achieve this goal, a literature analysis was conducted, followed by qualitative case studies of designing and testing a social innovation that incorporated social media as a tool to promote knowledge about assisting blind and visually impaired individuals in public communication. The article specifically focuses on TikTok, describing its characteristics, applications in education, and target audience. The conclusions presented indicate that social media play a significant role in the lives of Polish youth. TikTok, being one of the most popular platforms among a portion of Generation Z, has 10.6 million users in Poland, ranking third after Facebook and Instagram. Despite sparking numerous controversies, TikTok should be utilized to promote the correct attitude among youth. Thanks to its attractive content delivery format and ease of video editing, it is accessible to a wide range of creators and audiences.

This article explains the relationship between the organization's dynamic capabilities, the level of organizational slack, and the innovativeness of the enterprise. Using empirical data from 422 Polish organizations collected in 2021; quantitative analyses were carried out on the relationships between dynamic capabilities, the level of organizational slack, and the company's innovativeness. Among others, correlation analyses, factor analyses, regression analyses, variance inflation factors, structural equation modeling, and moderation analyses were used. It was found that the ability to perceive, use and reconfigure resources is an essential factor determining the enterprise's innovativeness level. On the other hand, organizational slack is vital in moderating the relationship between resource reconfiguration and innovation. With a low level of organizational slack, the ability to reconfigure resources translates into an increase in the company's innovativeness. The article discusses the relationship between dynamic abilities and innovation in the context of organizational slack. According to the authors' knowledge, this is the first approach of this type in the national literature and one of the first in the international state of knowledge. Thus, it enriches the organization's knowledge of innovation issues, clearly pointing to its determinants.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba wyjaśnienia relacji pomiędzy zdolnościami dynamicznymi organizacji, poziomem luzów organizacyjnych oraz innowacyjności przedsiębiorstwa. Wykorzystując dane empiryczne z 422 polskich organizacji, zgromadzonych w 2021 roku, przeprowadzono analizy ilościowe dotyczące związków pomiędzy wskazanymi zależnościami. Przeprowadzone analizy statystyczne wykazały, że zdolności do dostrzegania, wykorzystywania i rekonfiguracji zasobów stanowią istotny czynnik determinujący poziom innowacyjności przedsiębiorstwa. Artykuł podejmuje tematykę związków pomiędzy zdolnościami dynamicznymi i innowacyjnością w kontekście luzów organizacyjnych. Zgodnie z wiedzą autorów jest to pierwsze tego typu ujęcie w literaturze krajowej i jedno z pierwszych w międzynarodowym stanie wiedzy. Wzbogaca tym samym stan wiedzy dotyczący problematyki innowacyjności w organizacji, wskazując jednoznacznie na jej uwarunkowania.
