Abstract: The article concerns the development of the open scientific resources in Poland in the context of European Union initiatives in the scope of the open access to scientific publications and research data. The first part of the text explains the term “repository” and presents the criteria of the adopted typology of repositories and models of their functioning. The article presents the list of repositories functioning in twenty public universities along with its content analysis. On the basis of gathered data and bibliography used in the article, there was made an attempt to assess the implementation of the policy of openness in science at Polish universities.

Streszczenie: Artykuł dotyczy rozwoju otwartych zasobów naukowych w Polsce w kontekście inicjatyw Unii Europejskiej w zakresie otwartego dostępu do publikacji naukowych i danych badawczych. W części pierwszej tekstu omówiono znaczenie terminu „repozytorium” oraz przedstawiono kryteria przyjętej typologii repozytoriów i modele funkcjonowania. Sporządzono wykaz repozytoriów działających w 20 uniwersytetach w Polsce i dokonano analizy ich zawartości. Na podstawie zgromadzonych danych oraz wykorzystanego w artykule piśmiennictwa podjęto próbę oceny realizacji polityki otwartości w nauce na polskich uczelniach.
