In analyzing the writings of Clement of Alexandria, the author of the article states that the priestly ideal is in them in essence close to the ideal of holiness and perfection, typical of Christians called Gnostics. That is why in the formation and priestly work, Cłement treats with priority the perfect knowledge of Sacred Scripture and Apostolic and Church Tradition, life in accord with the Gospel and the teaching ministry in the Church of Christ - typical traits for the Christian-Gnostic. Taking into consideration the w hole ecclesiology of the Alexandrian, one can say that he distinguished two parallel hierarchies in the Church: the hierarchy of perfection and the hierarchy of office. The scope of both these hierarchies could, but did not have to link together. In the Church, Clement gave a greater place to the hierarchy of perfection (related with Gnosticism) because its scope was much broader thail the other. From the group of Gnostics, only some received offices for service in the Church.

Regional entities and substructures have clearly demarcated spheres of state-like competence and clearly defined branches of power. Hierarchical framework of any political system is interspersed with the categories of multileveled interdependence and regionalism. Efficient combination of these categories is crucial for maintaining stability of the whole political structure. The sometimes perfect balance provided by ongoing multileveled political struggle is minimizing the possible danger of deterioration and consequently inevitable collapse, but finally not providing important if not essential political security, transparency and predictability so the system can be adjustable asa universal tool of multilevel governance. Necessity to maintain diversity, as an important condition of any union, adds spark to scientific discussion concerning the impact of the complex structure and its operational mechanism on the political environment and is setting a new bag of issues concerning its efficiency. Equality and equity are becoming main concerns in such a case. Significant differences among the mechanisms of implementation occurring in the analysis and broad perception of the dogma of national and cultural identity are the result of different historical background and other characteristics of the political systems.
The article describes the terminological issues referring to the concept of laity and clergy on the basis of the Holy Scripture and their use in the early Christian Church. In the further part of the article, we refer to the formation of the clergy, its degrees and the requirements and privileges basing on the canons. The question of various translations of canons into modern languages is also discussed, with reference to concepts related to clergy and laity. The last part of the article is devoted to the Orthodox understanding of the role and service of the laity in the Orthodox Church.
The article is of theoretical nature. Its aim is to present the psychoanalytic understanding of the capital which is constituted by organisation members. It is them who decides about the effects of the operations of an organisation, both its successes and failures. This article attempts at describing the psychological mechanisms which determine the complex phenomenon called ‘human capital’ of an organisation. The concept of ‘human capital’ has been confronted with one of the key attributes of an organisation, that is the hierarchy of the organisation’s structure. The article presents a psychoanalytic interpretation of organisational hierarchy in the aspect of human capital, taking into account the positive and negative consequences for all organisation members.

Background: Recent studies in the domain of supply chain management underline the significance of the contractual and relational aspects of governance, at the same time ignoring the relevance of classical hierarchy. To respond to this challenge, our study posits that the market and hierarchy are both embedded in the wider social context, and as such they can only apply to some degree of relational aspects, referred in this research to as clan. Concomitantly, clan rarely acts as a sole mode of supply chain governance; quite the contrary, it can be either a hybrid (anchored between market and hierarchy) or an alternative (neither market nor hierarchy) mode of governance. By returning to the classical roots of governance of market and hierarchy as two bipolar modes, the goal of the paper is to compare diverse modes of supply chain governance (with the emphasis on the hybrid and alternative modes) in terms of the strength of clan. Methods: The study involves two stages of multivariate statistical analysis. In the first step, the variables indicating certain modes of market and hierarchy of upstream and downstream dyads were narrowed down to the main underlying multi-item constructs through Principal Component Analysis (PCA) with Varimax Rotation. In the second step of the analysis, the factor scores obtained through the PCA for market and hierarchical governance were used in cluster analysis. Results: The study reveals that the hybrid modes of governance (especially relational governance) anchored between bipolar modes of market and hierarchy demonstrate a higher portion of clan in comparison to hierarchy as the sole mode of governance in triadic supply chains. At the same time, triadic supply chains run by both market and hybrid governance do not differ from each other, as they indicate similar and significantly higher mean ranks for clan. The study reveals that the alternative (neither market nor hierarchical) modes of governance do not indicate higher portion of clan as compared to market and hierarchy as two sole modes of governance in triadic supply chains. Conclusions: The study shows that as the mode of governance clan takes a leading role in the hybrid modes of governance as compared to the alternative mechanisms. This may suggest that either the hybrid modes are much stronger enhanced by social dimensions encapsulated in clan than the alternative modes or the essence of clan in the hybrid modes is not the same as the essence of clan in the alternative modes of governance. Consequently, we conclude that the silver bullet for solving this problem may reside within the nature of clan, which is significantly different in both modes of governance.

Wstęp: Ostatnie publikacje dotyczące zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw podkreślają znaczenie kontraktowej i relacyjnej koordynacji działań, jednocześnie ignorując istotność koordynacji hierarchicznej.

Fair value as a valuation method is presented in many Financial Accounting Standards. IFRS 13 „Fair Value Measurement” was issued for the purpose of unifying this mater. It regulates the way of selecting data for valuation process and disclosures about fair value measurement in financial statements. Analysis of selected listed companies in Poland found that these often limit their presentation of information about their use of the fair value method to selected categories of assets, while not justifying the valuation techniques or inputs used.
Order and hierarchy are the basic elements of Medieval thought. The guarantor of social order is an individual at the right place and fulfilling their duties diligently. Ordo is rooted in hierarchy and it means that individuals are put in a particular order of a social ladder expressed in grades (gradus). Everyone should stay at the right place – paraphrasing Saint Augustin – it is a Medieval conditio sine qua non of safety and social order. According to the author, the problem of ordo is formed on two tracks: a status gradation conditioned by the division of labour and as ordo universalis, which means order directly leading to an individual hierarchy created by God.

Autonomia w ramach hierarchii konstytucyjnej to istnienie określonego zakresu samodzielności, w szczególności w zakresie tworzenia prawa wewnętrznego lub miejscowego. Takie prawo musi być zgodne z ogólną treścią konstytucji. Autonomia w ramach hierarchii konstytucyjnej jest połączeniem sprzecznych tendencji dotyczących podporządkowania i niezależności. Pierwsze praktyczne próby stosowania teorii rywalizacji hierarchii do badań nad autonomią w ramach hierarchii konstytucyjnych różnych państw zachęcają do podejmowania kolejnych działań w tym zakresie.

According to the Hierarchies Rivalry Theory, a constitution contains the tops of hierarchies, understood as systems of norms. Due to their position in the constitution, such hierarchies may be called constitutional hierarchies. These hierarchies compete with one another in a dynamic – albeit long-term – process of transforming the constitution. Autonomy within the constitutional hierarchy means the existence of a specific scope of independence, in particular in the area of creating internal or local law. Such law must be consistent with the general contents of the constitution. Autonomy within the constitutional hierarchy is a combination of conflicting tendencies of subordination and independence. The first practical attempts to apply the Hierarchies Rivalry Theory to research on autonomy within the constitutional hierarchies of various countries encourage further actions in this area.
Sikorski w lutym 1942 r. w Pińsku wyświęcił dwóch nowych ukraińskich władyków (Nikanora Abramowicza i Ihora Hubę). W maju 1942 r. w Kijowie Sobór Biskupów UAKP nadał Dionizemu godność locum tenens metropolii kijowskiej.

The role of the Metropolitan of Warsaw Dionisii Valedynskyi constituting the wartime Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church The article deals with external transformation of Ukrainian orthodoxy during the World War II. Special attention is paid to the canonical relations between the Warsaw Metropolitanate and the Moscow Patriarchate. Under German occupation, ukrainian orthodoxy split into two groups. One trend was led by Metropolitan Oleksii Hromadskyi who created the Autonomous Orthodox Church under the Moscow Patriarchate. Metropolitan of Warsaw Dionisii Valedynskyi gave his blessing for the establishment of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church and designated Archbishop Polikarp Sikorskyi as administrator of the church. In February 1942 in Pinsk Sikorsky consecrated the fi rst two bishops of the UAOC on Ukrainian territory (Nykanor Abramovych and Ihor Huba), and in May 1942 the Kyiv Council of UAOC bishops elected Dionisii as locum tenens of the Metropolitan See of Kyiv
Background. This article refers to a line from my field research in Japan from 2012 to 2015, being a stage reference for my PhD in Social Anthropology and aims to relate some ethnographic facts collected with practitioners of Japanese swordsmanship (Kendo) - among them, Japanese and non Japanese – through the relationships made in the dōjō (the training places). The aim is to make an analogy between the notion of house within anthropological theory that remains an important practical concept for building a kinship and the studied case. By kinship and relatedness we understand the ways to make relatives, or an analytical mode for their mutual relations. ‘Relatives’ here have a more free sense, as ways of making relationship without implying human reproduction. In short, we use the training hall as the unit of analysis with the notion of House that tells us about building a kinship beyond blood. The plan is to relate some facts about the fieldwork, which operate in the concepts of hierarchy, family and Dōjō in a relationship with the notion of House, trying to build a model of interpretation. Aim. To build a model of interpretation based on the concept of House, since it looks like a suitable proposition. Methods. I used the following materials: bibliographic, structured forms, semi-structured interviews and conversations in Dōjō, and the method was ethnography, or the living experience of data research. The ethnographic fieldwork was conducted in Brazil (2007-2011) and Japan (2012-2013). In Japan, we conducted ethnography in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Kanagawa Ken and Ibaraki Ken. The data collection was structured in the form of questionnaires, semi-structured interviews and informal conversations, collected in Japan with Kendo practitioners of all possible nationalities. The questionnaires were applied at Kendo events or training sessions or sent by Facebook and email. Results and Conclusions. A new discussion about the anthropology of Kinship using a new analytical framework regarding he concepts of Hierarchy, House and Ie (Japanese House).

Etnograficzne badania terenowe przeprowadzono w Brazylii (2007-2011) i Japonii (2012-2013). W Japonii, przeprowadzono badania etnograficzne w Tokio, Osace, Kioto, Kanagawie Ken i Ibaraki Ken. Dane zostały zebrane w postaci ankiet, formalnych i nieformalnych wywiadów, zebranych w Japonii z adeptami Kendo różnych narodowości. Ankiety przeprowadzono w czasie pokazów i szkoleń Kendo lub wysłano poprzez e-mail lub Facebooka. Wyniki i wnioski. Nowa dyskusja o antropologii pokrewieństwa w obrębie nowych ram analitycznych w odniesieniu do koncepcji Hierarchii, Domu oraz Ie (japoński dom).

Kształtowanie właściwej, trwałej hierarchii wartości to jeden z najistotniejszych celów kształcenia ludzi młodych.

Forming the appropriate and lasting hierarchy of values is one of essential youth learning objectives. Among values, health is especially significant as a basal, vital value and at the same time as an universal one. In the article, theoretical studies of values containing differences in definition and in the process of creating a partition of values were presented. Subsequently, a part concerning results of selected empirical research on hierarchy of values among youths and adults was included. Quoted studies showed, that a value „health” was placed near the top of hierarchy in declarations of teenagers, including family and love. There is a need for further research to determine it's place and it's role in perception of youth.

The article describes the process of profound democratization, resulting in changing the notion of democracy which is no longer understood as a means of achieving certain values, but rather as a value in itself. Moreover, democratic values and procedures are becoming increasingly popular and as such, accepted by traditionally non-democratic institutions such as school, family and Church. The process is particularly noticeable in school and family. The article also analyses the most important implications (both positive and negative) of this phenomenon in education. For example, respecting pupils' personal autonomy is connected with weakening of hierarchy and authority. In general, problems created by democracy (e.g. various forms of populism) are more acute in upbringing and education than on the state level, because pupils are not as mature as adult citizens.

Social exclusion can be viewed as an example of depriving an individual of membership in an association or as a significant restriction of rights within a given hierarchy. In this context, social life in a given country can be analysed as not only competition between smaller hierarchies, but also as a hierarchy covering the entire public sphere. The purpose of the article is to indicate the possibility of using the hierarchy competition theory to analyse the issue of social exclusion, shown in different contexts. Social exclusion can also be illustrated by examples taken from various fields of human activity.
W obszarze kulturowym posthumanizm zdefiniowany w latach 80 i 90-tych dwudziestego wieku, powinien wypracować metody umożliwiające przeniesienie problematyki wielowymiarowych struktur biologicznych na sztukę bio artu.

Ecology understood as a research project within the biological sciences explores the relations between organisms and the environment. It does so at numerous hierarchically connected levels of natural life organisation – the specimen, the population, the assemblage, the biocenose, the ecosystem, the biome and the biosphere. Multidimensional ecological research involves the methodologies of multiple sciences, like physics, mathematics, chemistry, geology or hydrology. In the latest two decades, we have seen a drift in ecology rooted in the so-called ‘neutral theory of biodiversity and biogeography,’ which assumes that the species constituting multispecies systems are ecologically equivalent/equally valuable or may be considered selectively identical (i.e., ‘neutral’). The neutrality of approach, the multidisciplinary and social dimension of ecology offer its possible interconnections with the cultural and philosophical current of posthumanism. Posthumanism, which rejects anthropocentrism and ‘speciesism’, is congruent with the methodological approach that has been used in ecology for decades. The emergence and growth of problem areas based on the ecology of groups of organisms, like plant ecology, animal ecology; on various levels of organisation or social application, like nature conservation, protection of the environment or ecological engineering reveal this specific ‘posthuman perspective’ in ecological studies. The present study discusses problem and methodology areas that are common to ecology and the broadly understood posthuman approach. Its proposition is that the research agenda of ecology has long been in the mainstream of the posthuman current. The author has made the following assumptions: (1) ecological systems are hierarchical and interconnected by a network or relations; (2) posthumanism rejects the hierarchy and assumes the equality of all forms of life. In the realm of culture, the posthumanism of the 1980s and 1990s should develop methods capable of translating the multidimensional problems of biological structures to artistic output connected with bio art
During the Second Vatican Council, there was an informal group of bishops, popularly known as the Church of the Poor, who placed the relationship between Jesus, the Church, and the poor at the center of the debates. The archives of the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve preserve archival reports of meetings that took place at the Belgian College in Rome. Considering that the contents of these sources are not commonly recognized, the author provides an introduction to their contents using source critical analysis. In the first part, he discusses the research status. In the second section, he examines the reports’ content.

The Church has both institutional and charismatic structure. Hierarchy provides the Church with stability and faithfulness simultaneously allowing it to open for the new. On the other hand, charisms refresh the Church and embellish it through various forms of deeds, services, evangelisation. The Holy Spirit is the source of both structures. Thus, it is necessary to see the charismatic nature of the hierarchical service. Bishops fulfill their role based on their Holy Orders and are led by the Holy Spirit. They also have a biblical charism of power. This constitutes a real challenge for the clergy − to be truly open to the Paraclete and make use of the spiritual gifts. On the contrary, charismatic gifts cannot exist without the hierarchy as it would become too easy to make mistakes or even imitate real charisms which would consequently lead to a spiritual anarchy. Abundance of charisms is therefore put under bishops and presbyters' who also guard their right exercising. Still, it is also the nature of charisms that includes being directed on the institutionalisation, which displays itself in an emergence of some constant structure allowing for a constant service.

Z kolei charyzmaty odświeżają Kościół i przyozdabiają go przez różne formy działania, służby, ewangelizacji.

The article describes men, their hierarchy of values and highlights the individuality of human nature. Any human being aware of the hierarchy of values knows where they are heading in their lives. Without clearly stated goals people become influenced by what is surrounding them, whereas when they know the direction they heading towards, they have no doubt of what they are doing. The things that we value the most are the things that create the image of us. Therefore, becoming familiar with oneself is at the same time one of the most important and difficult tasks that a person encounters. A human being is a riddle for himself. The more information he gathers, the less he knows. If a human knew everything, he would be God, but if he knew nothing, he would be an animal. The human lack of knowledge about himself, as well as any lack of knowledge does not mean there is no such thing as the human nature but on the contrary-it is a part of that nature.
