The paper approaches the problem of a research of a Christian dimension of literature and theatre in the period of the crisis of Christian anthropology, which has been deeply felt at the end of the 20th century. Destructive elements have appeared in the understanding of the history and the role which Christianity has played in the construction of the world. The fruits of the contemporary culture have become sour; they contradict achievements of humanism and create an entity which has been named by Pope John Paul II as the “culture of death”. A researcher of the 20th century literature and theatre in his/her attempt to reach to the source of these processes and reveal real roots of the European culture must make an “incision” with Logos or with “the Light of the Gospel” on the body of the work created by this culture. So, that, as a result of this “incision” the elements which poison it might be eliminated. In this way a transcendental dimension of the European culture could be revealed and a proper description could start; proper because it could undertake the type of anthropology which had been revealed in the Bible and later developed by Judaism and Christianity.
Artykuł wnosi wkład do historiografii poradoznawstwa, poddając ana- lizie rozwój badań nad poradnictwem w latach 1979–1995. Jako narzędzie do opisu i analizy wykorzystano teorię sieci, wskazując w jaki sposób powiązania osobiste i funkcjonalne badaczy poradnictwa w podanym okresie doprowadziły do począt-ków kształtowania się nowej nauki. Pozwoliło to jednocześnie na uwypuklenie roli, jaką w tych procesach pełniła prof. Olga Czerniawska. Wymowę tekstu wzmacniają rysunki sieci przedstawiających struktury wybranych seminariów Poradnictwo we współczesnym społeczeństwie.
The topic of this paper are the religious-philosophical views of Zinaida Gippius expressed in the diary The Choice? Analysis of the diary proves that on the emigration almost at the end of her life Gippius remained faithful to the idea of a great revival of Christianity and its own mission, and especially – the concept of “new ecumenical Church”. The diary presents the writer as a critic of “historical Churches” and a promoter of the idea of spiritual rebirth of humanity, which strive to the development of Christianity, especially the dogmas of the Church. The diary presents Gippius as a religious modernist who sees in Christianity a religion of freedom and creativity, and not of authority and tradition.
The article is an analyssis of the theory presented by Jerry Vardaman, who maintains that Jesus was born in 12 B.C, and crucified in A.D. 21. The American researcher questions numerous records whixh corraborate the traditional dating, basing his resasoning however, on dubious fundamentals, to say the least. We are often dealing with arguments which are fabricated. The most astrounding evidence, wjich supposelly confirms Vardman's hypothesis, are the coins issued by Aretas IV, King of Nabateans, and Agrippa I, KIng of Judaea. The American researcher found some micro-letters on those coins, which are suppesed to refer to Jesus. The ones on the coins of Aretas call him even the king, while the ones on the coins of Agrippa talk about the regin of Jesus. Vardaman's theory is a scientific curiosity which has no substantion in facts. The American scientist saw too much on said coins, or perhaps he rather saw what he wanted to see. Consequently, his theory is a set of wishful thoughts, and not tangible facts.
Justice (perfection) of a democratic law-abiding State expressed as an environment of social life: this is an issue, that very frequently is present upon the lips of jurists, politicians, political scientists, legislature members, but also: ethicists, bioethicists, moralists, theologians, and others. This subject has been also taken for reflection because of the fact, that we are living in such a system, and more: we must struggle with many problems, which make one ask: is the democratic system that is being constructed founded on sufficiently healthy foundations, so that it may be possible to say that we are all equal in relation to the law being passed and that its principles are just? So we have taken up here an ethical reflection on the subject of the philosophy of law and State (that is: philosophy of care for our life environment) predominant in the European Union, the directives of which, coming from different treaties and agreements, are being applied to our home legislature. The main axis, around which our reflections were developed, where the basic principles of the Christian concept of social justice. These are the basis for interpersonal and international dialogue. These principles are: «peace», «solidarity », «justice», «freedom », «truth» and «love». The main conclusion stemming from this article is: in the concept of State and law of today there is a lack of a permanent point of reference, and this point of reference should be the principle of social justice based on objective truth.
The Fathers of the Church from the beginning of the Christian thought were under a strong influence of the Greek philosophy which was in this time understood mainly as the path to unity with the Supreme Being. Christian Apologists tried to convince in their apologies that Christianity is the true philosophy because it allows to reach its goal in the best and the most certain way. Apologists commonly claimed that thanks to the biblical revelation Christians have the knowledge of God which is the most perfect and accurate. We can observe such claims also in the writings of Alexandrian Fathers for whom God is somehow known even at the highest mystical experiences. The Christian doctrine of the knowledge of God changed radically in the fourth century AD in the writings of Cappadocian Fathers who defended the orthodox faith against the Arians. The most famous of them - Eunomius claimed that the essence of God is to be unbegotten. Basil the Great and Gregory of Nyssa answered him that we cannot know the essence of God and none of his attributes can be understood as his essence. The Cappadocian Fathers were the founders of the Christian doctrine of unknowability of God, and they formulated it in the precise philosophical language. They also made a great contribution to the further development of this doctrine. Dialectic arguments showed only one aspect of unknowability of God; another one was the darkness in the ultimate mystical experience. Gregory of Nyssa explained it well in his Life of Moses, but this teaching reached its ultimate figure in writings of Pseudo-Dionysius Areopagite - unknown author from the end of the fifth century AD. Pseudo-Dionysius claimed that the best knowledge which we can have of God is ignorance. The man can reach this knowledge only at the highest stage of mystical life at the apophatic way. The conclusion of this brief analysis of unknowability of God in the Patristic tradition is the statement that there were two main stimulants of its evolution: theoretical and mystical. For both of them the key role played the Greek philosophy which was an inspiration in creative explanation of the Holy Scripture made by the Fathers of the Church.
The article shows that popular understanding of Eckhart’s God as a personal God is not confirmed by the analysis of Eckhart’s texts, but adopted from the most common concept of God. The article presents three of such interpretations.
Święty Hilary z Poitiers († 367) żył w trudnym momencie historycznym, w którym panował kryzys w stosunkach władzy politycznej i kościelnej.

The relatively rich complex of hagiologic works and documents attesting the CyrilloMethodian tradition contains various kind of information on the death, grave and remains of the Holy brothers, especially those of St. Cyril. All texts, including the emerging in our time, are a living testimony of their cult, revealing the diversity of its’ functions appointed. The authors trace out and systemize various text – liturgical, hagiographic, historiographic and documentary, concerning the issue of the relics of the two Slavic saints. Besides the Long Life of St. Constantine-Cyril, the Greek Vitae of SS Clemens and Nahum of Ochrid, the Eulogy on Cyril and Methodius and the so-called Legenda Italica, hagiographic works of West Slavic origin are considered under the aspect of their essential importance for the saints’ relics veneration. They are interpreted as a phenomenon of realizing King Charles’ IV national doctrine on the base of their appearance in the inventories of the S. Vaclav chapel treasury in the metropolitan church of Prague as well as in the correspondence of Czech kings and Czech and Polish prelates. The issue of the burial place of the Brothers from Salonika and the location of their remains is presented in the article as an element of the hot interfaith dispute in the 1stRzeczpospolita. The 16th c. common awareness that the relics of SS Cyril and Methodius are kept at San Clemente in Rome was treated by the Catholics as a clear proof of divine approval for the Western church (and especially its head) and synergistic cooperation in the intention of the saint (Cyril wants to stay in Rome forever). Orthodox party defended “the good name” with the argument that even in Rome the orthodoxy and its missionaries were paid special attention. А modern attitude to the issue is displayed by the modern service dedicated to the rediscovery of S. Cyril’s relicts and their replacement in “San Clemente” on 17th November 1963. It was introduced in the liturgical praxis of the Bulgarian Catholics in 1980. The text of the service is designed in the prospects of the new vision on the role of SS Cyril and Methodius and their veneration in the contemporary world – as expressed by the Pope’s encyclical epistle “Antiquae nobilitatis” from 2nd February and the speech of Pope Paul VI in San Pietro on 14th February. Contemporary evidences of the political instrumentalization of the cult of St. Cyril’s remains are demonstrated as well. Without being exhaustive, the article presents a wide panorama of the cult of relics of St. Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher as a phenomenon of Slavonic and European cultural identity.
Przeanalizowane zostają trzy przykłady duchowości w grach wideo: Final Fantasy XV, Night in the Woods oraz Journey.
