Development of new forming processes aims for overcoming the current process limitations so that function extended components with a wider range of application and lower manufacturing costs are producible. But the comprehensive and complex investigations of cause-effect relationships and interdepend-encies in the development lead to an intransparent development status, whose assessment is often based on undefined and not reproducible criteria. This can result in wrong decisions with vain modifications that require subsequent changes associated with an increased effort. A valid characterization of the development status is needed to identify improvement potentials in early development phases and thus to apply the effective measures with reduced efforts. Maturity m odels provide essential indicators and assign their values to maturity levels, whereby a uniform assessment base is created to identify the development status reproducibly. Currently there is neither a maturity model for the assessment of new forming processes in development available nor a method-based procedure for the design of specifically needed maturity models. Therefore, a systematic approach has been designed to be able to determine maturity-related indicators on the basis of a combined reference model. The indicators are to be subsumed, weigthed and provided in a maturity-level matrix. This approach has been applied within the development of the novel Sheet-Bulk Metal Forming which aims for uniting the advantages of sheet and bulk metal forming processes. The designed maturity model for new forming processes facilitates the assessment of the development status with reference-based indicators and provides more transparent results in comparison to subjective evaluations.
Thisarticle discusses the model for assessing the level of informatization of an educational institution. Authors propose to use models of maturity levels for all types of educational institutions. The necessary assessment indicators are also justified.
The aim of the study is to present a concept for researching the production-for-inventory environment. The article focuses on the comparison of two production stockpiling environments, namely that of Make-to-Stock (MTS) and its developed version, Make-to-Availability (MTA). The article also presents research concepts related to the evolution of the MTS environment. The article presents the characteristics of production for inventory and for availability, while the matter of maturity models is also presented and a gap in the research is identified. The target and scope of the research is defined and the research program is discussed, and the research methods used at individual research stages have been identified. The status of the level of advancement of the research is presented,as are conclusions from previously undertaken research as well as further directions for this research, recommendations for the future, and the expected results of this work. The synthesis of the research will be to propose a maturity model for organisations functioning in the MTS / MTA environment.
Purpose – Thisstudy aimsto evaluate the adequacy of existing I4.0 maturity modelsin small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located in an under-industrialized region and comprehensively assess the extent to which these scales reflect the specific conditions of SMEs using a mixed-methods approach. Design/methodology/approach – This study involved a two-step process using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Initially, we applied the nine-dimensional I4.0 maturity evaluation model developed by Schumacher, Erol, and Sihn (2016) to 21 manufacturing enterprises in the developing Bartin Organized Industrial Zone in T€urkiye to determine their I4.0 maturity levels. Subsequently, thematic analysis of semi structured interview data from these enterprises was conducted using MaxQDA, aligning themes with scale dimensions. This revealed variances and alignments in maturity scores across dimensions. Findings – It was observed that the participants gave more appropriate answers to the content and scope of the relevant dimension in the dimensions where they got high scores. In addition to the participants’ focus on technology for I4.0, it was observed that they perceived this process only in terms of production and operational efficiency increase, and their expectations for organizational structures or enterprise processes were limited. Originality/value – This study addresses the gap in the literature regarding the applicability of existing quantitative I4.0 maturity models to SMEs in under-industrialized regions. By combining quantitative and qualitative methods, this research highlights the need for qualitative research alongside quantitative methods in measuring the I4.0 maturity of SMEs. This novel approach demonstrates how qualitative methods can enrich the understanding of I4.0 perceptions, overcoming the limitations of standardized scales.

The purpose of this article is – after the presentation of the essence of risk management and the role of audit in the risk management process – to demonstrate the maturity model for risk management and process aspects, and on this background characteristic of the support of this model by information technology used in the audit, including the innovative solutions developed by the author of the article.
Spełniają one trzy różne funkcje: diagnostyczną, porównawczą i preskryptywną. Oryginalność/Wartość poznawcza: W polskiej literaturze brak publikacji dotyczących modeli dojrzałości systemów informacyjnych i ich stosowania. Warto natomiast zwrócić uwagę na pokrewieństwo metody oceny usług informacyjnych LibQual+, stosowaną w polskich bibliotekach, z problematyką dojrzałości tych systemów informacyjnych.

Purpose/Thesis: The aim of the article is to present the concept of the maturity of object/process/organization and its applicability in the assessment of information systems. The author constructs models of information systems maturity for the purpose of this study. Approach/Methods: Building upon the analysis of existing literature, the article defines maturity of information system and presents a model. The article takes selected types of information systems as an example: digital libraries and research data services (RDS). Results and conclusions: The models of information systems maturity are useful for as[1]sessing all kinds of systems, both traditional and computerized. They fulfill three different functions: diagnostic, comparative and prescriptive. Originality/Value: In Polish literature, there are no publications on the models of information systems maturity and their application. However, we should note the similarities between the issues of information systems maturity and the LibQual+ method of assessing information services in Polish libraries.

In the paper it is proposed to enrich the Big Data maturity model with a selfassessment form, based on Likert’s scale. The issues of organization’s maturity in the Big Data context is presented, the temporal Big Data maturity model is outlined, and the self-assessment form is presented and discussed.
