Do opisu realiówstarożytnej Palestyny polscy tłumacze używali leksyki obrazującej zarówno rzeczywistośćrenesansowej Rzeczpospolitej, jak i krainy, w której żył i nauczał Jezus Chrystus.
Diego Velazquez’s painting „Las Meninas” corresponds with Wes Craven’s film „New Nightmare” on thematic and visual levels. They are connected not only by the motif of an author within his work, but also by the means to which this motif is used. On the one hand it might be interpreted as a fairly egotistic act, which intends to underline the value of their work and their artistic mastery. However, at the same time it is a masterful play with the viewer who comes to see their works. Craven’s work takes from the baroque understanding of representing reality, where the aim is to amaze by blur the border between the reality represented on the image and the base reality of the viewer.

The purpose of this article, whose point of reference are selected works of the Czech philosopher and theologian Tomáš Halík, is to critically analyse his concept of God. He distances himself from the idea of the Absolute as a construct of human reason and turns to the concept of God as an ontic foundation of the world. He rejects the concept of the Absolute alienated and separated from the world and embraces the vision of God hidden in the depths of reality and allowing us to experience his proximity in various ways. In the first part of the article, the philosophers’ concept of God, identified with the First Mover of the world and the Supreme Being, is critiqued. In the second part, the vision of God as the foundation and depth of being and the related issues of pantheism, panentheism and the personality of God are outlined. In the third part, attention is given to the fundamental ways of experiencing His presence and proximity, which include the experience of nature and historical events, the experience of the human interior (“deeper self”) and the encounter with another person, especially a wounded and suffering one.
Analising a subject "W soczewce. Wybrane aspekty wizualności w XIX wieku" from a perspective of fine arts, the article addresses a few various threads of interpretation of this phenomenon. One of them belongs to painting and technical side of impressionists, the other – eye defects related to ophthalmology and medicine, having an impact on translation of the real world into an artistic image, while another – a way of looking through the prism of ideological perceptions and interpretations in art. Despite their differences, each is equally important. It can be infinitely many interpretations of reality, which is why it is so difficult to talk about objectivity of looking through individual lens that each of us has from the moment of birth.
In this text, I have focused on the second of three parts of Charles S. Peirce’s argument for the reality of God. The analysis of Peirce’s inquiry by which he justifies his belief will be based on his work entitled Neglected Argument. The content has been organized as follows: first, the thought process described by Peirce, called: „the play of muse” which humbly leads many people to „God hypothesis”, has been justified as natural for a man. Secondly, „God hypothesis” itself has been validated as a natural result of „the play of muse”. Thirdly, the author of the argument listed three properties of this idea, thanks to which it becomes credible, and thus it comes much closer to the truth. I consider these issues interesting and worthy of further research and scientific work.

To interesujące zagadnienie wymaga dalszych badań i prac naukowych.
W artykule zaprezentowano pojęcie wirtualnej rzeczywistości. Przedstawiono wybrane przykłady jej zastosowania w podnoszących umiejętności i sprawność operatorską procesach treningowych i kształceniu. W sposób szczegółowy opisano możliwości zastosowania w kształceniu technicznym symulatora spawalniczego VERTEX 360 w zakresie nauki spawania.

A concept of virtual reality has been described. Some examples of the training process of the application of virtual reality in improving skills and operator technique have been presented. The use of VERTEX 360 welding simulator in professional training has been discussed in details.
The article discusses the bases of the contemporary concept of the theory of sources. I have made an attempt at re-interpreting this basic concept of historical methodology based on the semiotic concept of signs and reality.
This article discusses the main publications of Bertrand Russell from 1905-1921 that inspired Leon Chwistek’s theory of the multiplicity of realities. It delineates the historical background of Chwistek’s account, emphasizing that the issues raised by Russell were just one of the many elements that influenced his theory of the multiplicity of realities, and compares the views of both philosophers.

On the night of October 5–6, 1971, a strong explosion destroyed the auditorium of the Higher Pedagogical School in Opole. The perpetrator of the outbreak was Jerzy Kowalczyk, a technical worker of this university, who wanted to demonstrate in this way that there were forces in Poland capable of opposing the apparatus of then in power. In retaliation, the communist authorities brought to court both Jerzy Kowalczyk and – on the basis of collective responsibility – his brother Ryszard, a science worker at the Higher Pedagogical School in Opole. Jerzy was sentenced to death and Ryszard to 25 years in prison. However, social protests led to a softening of the punishment against Jerzy Kowalczyk (it was lowered to 25 years in prison). The mythologized version of the events, stubbornly maintained by some circles, claims that the explosion in the auditorium of the Higher Pedagogical School was made by both brothers in order to prevent the ceremony of handing over awards and decorations to the officers of the Citizens’ Militia and the Security Service, who participated in the bloody suppression of the December 1970 workers’ revolt on the Baltic Coast. This version, however, is not confirmed by the preserved historical sources. The communist security apparatus tried to gain operational benefits from the Kowalczyk case by undertaking recruitment activities against both of Jerzy Kowalczyk’s brothers. There is a conspiracy of silence on this subject in the above-mentioned circles.
The reflection of Xavier Zubiri (1898-1983), a Spanish philosopher, on the subject of real truth is an interesting epistemological proposal about the presence and perception of truth in reality and its apprehension by the intellect in the cognitive act. According to Zubiri, truth is not merely the consistency of the intellect with the thing. In the first view of the thing, reality imposes itself on the "intellection" (intelleción) with a certain force. This is done in the process of "ratification", which, however, is not a reduplication of the thing. Rather than that, it is a self-affirmation or self-installation of what is real in the intellect. The truth is not a representation [representación], but it is the authentic presentation of the things as it is. According to the Spanish philosopher, the real truth (la verdad real) has man in its hands, since it embraces the entire cognizing subject with its "energy". This means that "la verdad real" is the first experience of truth by man, independent of intellectual activity; its primary and spontaneous apprehension.

I explore Leon Chwistek’s views on ontology and aesthetics through a philosophical analysis of his texts. I present and briefly discuss two main interpretations of Chwistek’s ontology, i.e. logical and epistemological, before analyzing Chwistek’s aesthetics to show how it may be based on his ontology. Furthermore, I link both interpretations to the problem of whether or not Chwistek’s four realities share a common domain; a problem which is associated with his aesthetics. Finally, I make suggestions regarding further research on his notion of transitional types of art and the corresponding realities.
The term “political realism”, often analyzed by historians of political thought and theoreticians of international relations, becomes problematic in the era of popularizing the idea that there is an obvious dependence of “reality”, also “political reality”, from subjects that recognize it, and to an even greater extent from subjects shaping it. It is not the dissolution of reality but its dependence on the subjects that create it that makes it difficult to use old categories and raises the need for critical reflection on them. The attempt made in the paper is to show not only the consequences of abandoning old, “objectivist” approaches to reality (even if only conceptual reality), but also the reasons why on the one hand there is an embarrassment, and on the other hand the need for critical reflection, or perhaps setting new categories.

This article is presenting Erving Goffman’s multilayer and polysemy reality analysis and analysis of our real and symbolic social life. This analysis should provoke a reader to think about world we are living (full of interaction rituals and dictated interpretation schemas) but first of all to think how to create and develop a man succeed in a world of paradox of being actor and a spectator.
The aim of the research paper is to make use of the map metaphor from Jean Baudrillard’s Simulacra and Simulation as a starting point for the new metaphysics that is congruent with the poetics of postmodernism. The main idea here is to neglect a distinction between epistemology and ontology and to choose a philosophical perspective that breaks through some binary oppositions such as object-subject, fact-fiction, real-virtual etc. The proposed way to do so is to connect the anthropology of map with the philosophy of the other and put them together with the postmodern idea of the sign.
In the presented article, the author aims to present the concept of dividing law into divine, natural and human according to the concept of Saint Thomas Aquinas and to try to answer the question of what contribution it had to the formation of certain later and contemporary doctrines and views on the theory of law, as well as to examine in terms of its impact on shaping human rights. It should be noted that the understanding of what exactly a given category of law is will also take into account what the creator of this division understood and will also take into account doctrines other than Thomism, while maintaining the resulting basic division, which will allow for a more effective comparison with contemporary concepts and the recognition of similarities. This approach will also allow for the creation of a certain synthesis of contradictory concepts of understanding law, while being open to the interdisciplinary nature of law as understood in theology.

A fable is an indispensable element of childhood in the case of every child. It becomes especially important nowadays. We live in the so called technical culture, where we do not have enough time to spend with our families. Fables are useful due to the fact that their content can prepare to adult life: they teach how to distinguish good from evil, they indicate a system of values, teach how to follow the established norms and standards. By means of the moral lesson, hidden in each of them, they indicate how to live and coexist in the society. They also have additional value – they are long remembered and determine affective behaviours. Such emotional skills and competences are necessary, so that children can start school carriers successfully.

Kompetencje i umiejętności emocjonalne są niezbędne, by móc bez porażek rozpocząć karierę szkolną.
