The transfrontier shipment of waste is specific in that it is simultaneously governed by the provisions of international public law, EU law and Polish law. Therefore, it proves quite difficult in this case to effectively utilise the sources of generally applicable law as they feature three levels of regulation. In essence, these centre around the shipment of waste across state borders, as a process involving regulations pertinent to the waste processing process, public administration bodies in charge of associated tasks, and financial penalties for the breach of certain obligations.

The paper discusses the moving of Polish Armed Forces components by means of road transport. The first part justifies the dependency between the mobility of armed components and their efficiency in crisis situations. The main part of the article is concerned with the influence of the different elements of the system, i.e. a person - a vehicle - the surroundings, on the safety of road transport in relation to armed components. The final part of the paper contains an assessment of the current state of these determinants and their influence on the mobility of troops by means of road transport.
The increase in the number of road users induces research into the level of freedom of movement, recognized as a measure of traffic conditions, taking into account the feelings of road users regarding smooth travel on roads. There are many factors affecting the movement, also taken into account in the study of this issue in the armed forces. However, these are factors useful in peaceful conditions, when external factors occurring during the crisis and war are not taken into account, and so factors related to the impact of the opponent. This is especially important in the Rear Action Zone, where maintaining the freedom of maneuver determines the effective actions of the forces in the Direct Action Zone. The conclusions from numerous exercises indicate the importance of this problem, therefore the aim of the article is to present the risks and their impact on freedom of movement and the ability to maintain it at the right level. The considerations were based on the analysis of literature related to road traffic and analysis of exercises conducted in the armed forces. In the first chapter, maneuvering and freedom of action in the classification of tactical activities were made, which allowed to identify the area of the greatest needs and threats in this area. In the second chapter, on the basis of the defined displacement and freedom of maneuver, an analysis of the impact of road infrastructure on the mixing of forces, especially in the back zone of operations, was made and analysis of disturbances of freedom of maneuver on the part of two basic threats: special activities and refugees. In the third chapter, based on previous analyzes, possible actions have been synthesized in order to minimize the risks and maintain a proper freedom of maneuver.

The article seeks to provide a comparative perspective on Jewish emigration to the United States and to Mandatory Palestine during the period spanning World War I and the civil war in Ukraine through the closing of the United States borders to immigrants in 1924. The study consists of three sections. The first offers a typological explication of the concepts of emigration, aliyah, and refugeehood. The second part utilizes this typological discussion to characterize Jewish emigration in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The third section considers the attitudes exhibited by absorbing societies towards newcomers. The article furnishes a detailed account of the socio-political forces shaping Jewish emigration patterns and their implications for identity and absorption. In addition to a critical examination of the ideological, economic, and social context of Jewish migration, it discusses the hardships of displacement and absorption and traces the characteristics inherent to Jewish emigration.
