Lobbying in the contemporary world is a recognized instrument for implementing citizen’s right to be represented and to be heard by the authorities. The goal of lobbying is to pay authorities’ attention to important problems of citizens and organizations, to present various points of view, to provide adequate information and consequently to contribute to the public good. Nevertheless the social image of lobbyists and lobbying has never been positive and an extreme opinion says that muddy and immoral lobbying is threatening for democracy. This opinion is specially significant in the context of corporate lobbying and because of this various initiatives aimed at restoring a proper place of lobbying in the democratic system are undertaken. The paper presents such initiative, namely an attempt to treat responsible lobbying as one of the CSR instrument. The author shows both opportunities and limitations of this approach.
The aim of this article is to analyse the actions of enterprises, which take into account the corporate social responsibility. In order to do this, CSR was analysed from the perspective of the instrumental, ethic and profit-maximization oriented managing. CSR is a response to those who look for the golden mean between the profit and the ethical conditions of its maximization. The first decade of this century is characterised by growing interest in the question of CSR, especially among business ethicists. In the world of enterprises, especially those operating in Poland, CSR is still seen as a way to create a positive PR in the relations of a company and its environment. That is what was revealed by the first reliable data which stem from the actions initiated in the previous century (meta-analysis). Among the reasons for using the CSR methods, most attention was paid to the instrumental one correlated with profit-maximization, which is the major goal of private companies.

Nowadays, most companies want to be seen as socially responsible. Unfortunately, in many cases the true face of activities conducted by a company completely misses the CSR point: only the company image becomes significant. As a result, society has a problem with the verification of information and there is omnipresent chaos.
SMEs face a challenge of responding to inescapable changes as a result of various internal and external factors. As they attempt to cope with the changing conditions, they might face attitudinal and behavioral shifts. They need to develop new ways of thinking about their operations and dealing with various groups of stakeholders. Adoption of more sustainable approach might contribute to the success of a company in terms of cost impact, innovation impact, environmental impact and stakeholder impact. The aim of the article is to define the degree to which SMEs understand ideas behind corporate social responsibility (CSR) and to determine the degree of maturity of SMEs with regard to CSR. Of particular interest is to identify the dimensions of CSR engagement and to verify which component: social, environmental or economic, plays a dominant role for SMEs, which will further inform about the fact whether CSR has operational or rather strategic character. The article presents selected results of empirical research conducted by the Institute of Management at Warsaw School of Economics in 2016.
The idea of social contract has been, from the very beginning, connected with a reflection on problems relative to functioning of society. Thus, from time to time, this idea was referred to in the hope that it would help solve, generally speaking, the fundamental mankind problem of a proper, as some thought, or optimal, as the other dreamed, way of society functioning. According to the authoress, the present-day social and economic problems are so serious that they require a new social agreement more adequate to problems resulting from globalisation. It seems, therefore, right to analyse a more and more popular in Europe and the USA concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and to verify whether it possesses all the most fundamental elements that allow to consider it a new social agreement or at least its outline leading to this idea in the future.
The research problem discussed in the article is an attempt to answer the question of how much the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) definition proposed in ISO 26000 standard is implemented by companies in Poland. The considerations carried out in this paper correspond to the approach specific to the framework of the applied research. The undertaken work was of an explanatory nature, under which the diagnostic survey method and the questionnaire with closed-ended questions as a research tool was used. Referring to the four criteria of CSR definition identified in the ISO 26000 standard, an empirical study on a sample of 385 subjects was conducted and the results of the study were used to answer the research problem.

Initially, research on ‘social responsibility’ focused on the sphere of business (corporate social responsibility, CSR). However, taking into account the fact that social responsibility is connected with understanding society’s expectations in a broader perspective, the concept is now considered applicable to all organisations, not only business ones. The aim of this article is to draw attention to the problems in the socially responsible functioning of landscape parks. The areas of activity of parks, for which specific legal, ethical or economic expectations may be formulated by various groups of stakeholders, are characterised. The results of pilot surveys carried out among employees of landscape parks in the Wielkopolskie voivodship are also presented.

The field of corporate social responsibility has attracted a number of academics and researchers in order to better understand corporations and the relation to society at large. Applying Badaracco’s (1992) four spheres of commitments morality framework demonstrate that “company responsibilities does not stop at the point of deal closure” due to multiple roles as an economic entity and the leader in charge of the enterprise yet, the tenets of due-diligence and judgment must maintain. A fundamental argument is that leaders’ moral basis cannot in itself be moral due to the financial reality of generating profits and the conflict between intrinsic and extrinstic satisfaction needs. The constant pressure to deliver adequate financial returns, coupled with optimizing budget limitations and the time factor are typical challenges that managers have to indeed manage. Holt’s (2006) contribution likewise provides another perspective on the dialogue based on the notion of “smart compromise” (Holt, 1672) as opposed to Oakeshott rendition of extending managers reality to that of the “enterprise. Managers cannot live in isolation and hence we have to understand leaders’ position beyond the” implicit perspective” because corporations are an extension of families and society in general. We will also review corporate social responsibility from the perspective of Stakeholder Theory going beyond the simple separation of internal vs. external stakeholders. The “rules of the game” will also provide a better understanding in terms of adhering to minimum regulations as opposed to doing the “right” things from a macro societal perspective.

Ciągła presja, by osiągać odpowiednie wyniki finansowe przy jednoczesnej optymalizacji ograniczeń budżetowych i czynnika czasu, stanowią typowe wyzwania, którym menedżerowie muszą sprostać.

The successful development of the TSL sector, towards its social responsibility, is appropriate logistics education at universities. The purpose of this article is to trace the directions and possibilities (i.e., construction and implementation of general strategies, communication, reporting under directive GRI G4, investment in equipment and software, curriculum development); available to universities to educate responsible managers and employees within the TSL sector. Celem opracowania jest identyfikacja form i zakresu wykorzystania platform crowdfundingowych do realizacji strategii CSR. Postawiono dwa pytania badawcze: Jakie działania mogą podejmować przedsiębiorstwa w ramach polskich platform crowdfundingowych do realizacji działań związanych ze społeczną odpowiedzialnością biznesu? Do zbadania form i zakresu wykorzystania platform finansowania społecznościowego w realizacji działań CSR wykorzystano obserwację stron WWW. Przeprowadzone badania wstępne stanowią podstawę do pogłębienia tematu wykorzystania portali crowdfundingowych w działaniach związanych z CSR.

The aim of the study is to identify the forms and scope of using crowdfunding platforms to implement the CSR strategy. Two research questions were posed. Can crowdfunding platforms be used to implement activities related to corporate social responsibility? Are crowdfunding platforms used in the CSR activities of enterprises? A qualitative research method was used in the study to examine the forms and scope of using the crowdfunding platforms in the implementation of CSR activities. The choice of the method was dictated by the complexity and initial stage of identifying the problem area. Based on the analysis of crowdfunding campaigns and the content posted by the creators of the Wspieram.to and Pomagamy.im websites, it was found that crowdfunding platforms can be and are used to implement activities within the framework of corporate social responsibility. Undertaken initiatives concern local communities and employees, and are based mainly on creating campaigns and cooperation with the portal, to a lesser extent relying on the patronage of a project initiated by the community or foundation. These actions may be beneficial to the company in terms of image, as well as affect the area of human resources management. The preliminary research carried out is the basis for deepening the topic concerning the use of crowdfunding portals in activities related to CSR. The issue of the effectiveness and efficiency of undertaking such initiatives in implementing communication and the strategy of corporate social responsibility itself becomes particularly important. An interesting complement to the research would be to conduct in-depth interviews with the enterprises that undertook these activities on the studied platforms.

Corporate Social Responsibility is based on voluntary business practice taking into account the environmental and social issues, while also forming partnerships, responsible relationships with all stakeholders of company, i.e. customers, investors, employees, suppliers, the media, public administration and the local community. This responsible approach to the wider environment – becomes a standard, imposed enterprises, which changes the functioning of companies. Despite some backlog compared to the more developed economies of Western European countries, among others, in society's attitude towards environmental issues and engage the business sector in the social sphere, this concept is applied in enterprises operating in Poland and relatively well evaluated by potentially interested in its implementation – the consumers. CSR is noticed among others and in advertising and activities at points of sale. In this area, however, there is a deficiency, as respondents in their answers stressed that “do not see” practices of CSR in the market activities of enterprises. Unfortunately, they are not take into account the company's activities in the field of CSR when shopping also. This means that on the one hand, Polish consumers are convinced of the benefits that may give an undertaking after implement CSR, on the other hand – do not choose products (services) socially responsible companies. The aim of this article is to present the perception of Corporate Social Responsibility by Polish consumers and its impact on brand loyalty.
Obszar rozważań zawężono do relacji organizacja-klient.

This article aims to underline the importance of trust built based on the actions of socially responsible organization and communication gaps in the selection of these measures, which somehow prevents or hinders the building of that trust. To achieve this purpose a literature analysis, analysis of studies of various authors regarding CSR communication and knowledge of the subject and the results of the survey conducted among a select group of students of the Military University of Technology. Area considerations narrowed to relations organization − the customer.
