In the following article, the author attempts to describe the role of the manager-facilitator in the context of contemporary organizations. Basing arguments on one of the most important needs commonly found among employees - i.e. 'personal and professional development' - the author illustrates the universal usefulness of a professional facilitator in supporting development. Premises discussed in the article are well documented in light of cited scientific research whose detailed descriptions may be found in the wealth of scientific literature.
