The Advantages of a Weak Organizational Culture

The objective of this paper is to call attention to the negative effects of a strong organizational culture, which is at the same time synonymous with a strong organizational identity. Such negative aspects include low susceptibility to innovation, aggressive attitudes with respect to the environment that impede cooperation, and an uncritical acceptance of stereotypes. Organizations with a strong culture have little chance of success on a global market.
