(Un)critical thinking, (un)needed by early childhood education teacher

Abstracts
The modern world needs people who are thinking, who are creative and inventive, who can function well in fast-changing reality. In order to educate such people, well-prepared teachers are needed at every level of education, because they determine the quality and efficiency of school work. One of the most important components of the teacher’s professional competence is critical thinking, therefore high level of this skill is a guarantee of professionalism in this occupation. This also applies to early school education. In this article have been presented research results on critical thinking by students from preschool and early school faculty - future grade I – III teachers.
