The article deals with problem of polish–ukrainian cooperation in the field of restitution of national treasures. Memory discourses and practices of scientific and cultural institutions of The National Ossoliński Institute and of Vasyl Stefanyk National Scientific Library of Ukraine in Lviv aimed at searching, researching, and exhibiting Polish and Ukrainian cultural goods which were lost during World War II and in the first years after the war. This issue is made the subject of the analysis here. The paper shows that the results of this cooperation are a part of a broader Polish–Ukrainian dialogue aimed at reconciliation beyond historical divisions.
