The subject of this article is the symbol mechanism proposed by J.F. Drewnowski as a tool for the accurate formulation of sentences in science, including theology. The tool consists of three elements: classical propositional calculus, classical predicate calculus without variable functors and constant functor of the elementary proposition f (x,y,z). This sentence contains three arguments of three different types that correspond to the frame of reference, things and qualities of things. The purpose of this article is to show the language apparatus in the context of author’s other works as well as explain the terms characteristic for the author in order to enable the assessment of the value and timeliness of this idea.

W artykule zaprezentowano koncepcję transferu technologii powstałej w środowisku akademickim do otoczenia biznesowego.

This article presents the original concept of transferring technology created in academic environment to business. Article discuss practical aspects of presented theoretical model, as it will be implemented in practice by ‘Kraków Miastem Startupów’ foundation and submitted to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for ‘Dialogue’ program. Literature overview has been used to identify main determinants and hindering factors of commercialization process in Poland. SWOT analysis was employed to organize and present elements of environment that influences technology transfer process. A general assumption has been made, that designed model should, at least have a potential of becoming a profitable venture and should be recognize as such by private investors. Therefore Osterwalder’s Business Model Canvas, a tool commonly used for measuring value of innovative ventures, was adopted as a basic framework for the model.

Following paper presents a new aspect of the study of submerged landscapes in the Szczecin Lagoon. This aspect is the importance of coastal processes for the conservation status of the sites and archaeological contexts. Underwater prospection can lead to collection of archaeological material of an entirely different character. These artifacts may in fact come from the destroyed land erosion processes (abrasion), and so – in terms of methodology of archeology – lie on the secondary deposit. Of course, cognitive value of such sources is very different than artifacts found in full context. However, there is possibility to use them not only to study archeology, but to assess the scale, pace and extent of coastal phenomena perceived as post-depositional processes.
