The publication is a critical edition of the proceedings of the legal case in 1491concerned with the amount of Peter's pence (denarius sancti Petri) paid from the parish of Ksiaznice Wielkie in the diocese of Kraków and deanery of Witów (voievodeship of Kraków, county of Proszowice). The text is the result of the controversy between Mikołaj of Koprzywnica, the parish priest in Ksiaznice Wielkie at the time, and Andrzej of Kanczuga, the sub-collector of Kraków. Because the original has not been preserved, the present edition is based on the only surviving copy in the Jagiellonian Library MS 1815. It is the only known documentation of a legal case concerned with verification of the amount of Peter's pence on any historically Polish areas.
