Emocje należą do najbardziej elementarnego obszaru ludzkiej psychiki. Paradoks związany z nimi polega na tym, że z jednej strony tworzą one płaszczyznę łącząca gatunek ludzki ze światem zwierząt, z drugiej strony emocjonalizacja i narracje afektywne obecne są w niezwykle wysublimowanych wytworach kultury. Niniejszy artykuł wychodzi od krótkiego wstępu teoretycznego, przechodząc następnie do próby pokazania ujętego diachronicznie potencjału afektywnego tęsknoty jako uczucia, w znacznym stopniu wpływającego na charakter muzyki doby romantyzmu.

Emotions belong to the most elementary area of the human psyche. The paradox associated with them is that on the one hand, they create a ground connecting the human species with the world of animals. On the other hand, emotionalization and affective narratives are present in extremely sublime products of culture. This article begins with a short theoretical introduction, then moves on to an attempt to show the diachronic affective potential of longing as a feeling that significantly influenced the character of the music of the Ro-mantic era.

Emotionen gehören zum grundsätzlichen Bereich der menschlichen Psyche. Paradoxerweise verbinden sie einerseits die menschliche Gattung mit der Tierwelt, andererseits lassen sich die Emotionalisierung und affektive Narrationen in hochsublimierten Kulturerzeugnissen erkennen. Der vorliegende Beitrag beginnt mit einer kurzen theoretischen Einleitung und zeigt dann aus der diachronischen Perspektive das affektive Potenzial der Sehnsucht als eine Emotion, die auf bedeutende Weise den Charakter der romantischen Musik geprägt hat.

Artykuł poszukuje śladów diachronicznych w literaturze niemieckiej dotyczących poetyki noża. W centrum uwagi znajdują się prace różnych autorów, od roku 1800 do późnego XX wieku, których teksty charakteryzuje wspólna, a zarazem różnie wyrażana tendencja do przekraczania granic poprzez emocjonalnie nacechowany język, jak również transgresyjne pragnienie ujawnienia radykalnej prawdy, przez co zyskują miano literatury ekstremistycznej. Koncentrując się w różnym stopniu wokół metafory noża, teksty stają się formą przemocy wobec ciała ludzkiego zaatakowanego gwałtownie nożem.

This essay traces the tradition of what could be described as a poetics of the knife in German literature. Dealing with texts by writers from around 1800 until late twentieth century, examples of aesthetically extremist literature are being considered. What unites the various authors is that an emotionally charged language, as well as a transgressive desire to reveal the truth believed to be located inside the human body characterize their texts. Writing turns into a form of opening up of bodies which is why the texts examined feature bodies being violently attacked by knives.

Der Aufsatz verfolgt anhand mehrerer Stichproben die diachronen Spuren einer Poetik des Messers in der deutschen Literatur. Die Werke der behandelten Autoren aus der Zeit um 1800 bis zum späten 20. Jahrhundert können aufgrund ihrer gemeinsamen, wenngleich unterschiedlich ausgeprägten Tendenz zu Grenzüberschreitung durch affektive Aufladung von Sprache und dem Ausdruck eines radikalen Wahrheitswillens einem Begriff extremistischer Literatur zugerechnet werden, die sich in jeweils unterschiedlicher Ausprägung um die Metapher des Messers zentriert, das dem menschlichen Körper gewaltsam zu Leibe rückt.
