The present article provides a number of profiles of book conservators, heads of the departments of book conservation and directors of the Library of the Poznań Society of the Friends of Sciences (Polish: PTPN) and their legacy remained in the form of available archival material. From its onset, the PTPN Library has been collecting manuscripts and bequests of prominent people that included books and other material, including bequests of those who had been heading the institution. The archival material that belonged to the latter group has been also collected by other libraries and archives with which they were in close contact. The legacy of Ludwika Dobrzyńska-Rybicka and Ryszard Marciniak has been thus split between the PTPN Library and the Library of the Poznań branch of the Polish Academy of Science. The bulk of the archival material bequeathed by Bolesław Erzepki has been located in the Special Collection Division of the Raczyński Municipal Library in Poznań. Residual relevant archival material can be also found in the Archives of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (L. Dobrzyńska-Rybicka) and in the Archives of Poznań University Library (L. Dobrzyńska-Rybicka, Jan Baumgart, Aniela Koehlerówna).

Artykuł prezentuje sylwetki konserwatorów zbiorów, kierowników i dyrektorów Biblioteki Poznańskiego Towarzystwa Przyjaciół Nauk (PTPN) oraz to, co po nich pozostało w postaci archiwaliów. Od momentu powstania Biblioteka PTPN gromadziła rękopisy lub całe spuścizny wybitnych osób, w tym kierujących tą placówką. Również inne biblioteki i archiwa zakładowe instytucji, z którymi byli oni związani, włączały do swych zbiorów ich materiały archiwalne. Spuścizny Ludwiki Dobrzyńskiej-Rybickiej i Ryszarda Marciniaka znajdują się zarówno w Bibliotece PTPN, jak i w Polskiej Akademii Nauk Archiwum w Warszawie Oddział w Poznaniu. Znaczna część materiałów archiwalnych Bolesława Erzepkiego trafiła natomiast do Działu Zbiorów Specjalnych Biblioteki Raczyńskich w Poznaniu. Szczątkowe materiały archiwalne można też znaleźć w Archiwum Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu (Ludwika Dobrzyńska-Rybicka) oraz w Archiwum Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej w Poznaniu (Ludwika Dobrzyńska-Rybicka, Jan Baumgart, Aniela Koehlerówna).

According to the state program ‘Archive 2025’ for wide access to archival documents in Kazakhstan the web portal ‘Unified electronic archive of documents was launched’. At the moment, there is no information on the funds of the Central State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation on this site yet, but it is planned to add it to the electronic catalog in the future. For the successful implementation of data on documents stored in the funds of the Central State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation, it is necessary to analyze which types of documents are most popular among the archive users (both in the reading room and when executing information requests by the archive) and which need to be translated into electronic format as a priority, for this purpose, the reports of the Central State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation were studied for the period from 1974 to 2021.

This article describes the work of the distinguished archivist and prominent historian Prof. Kazimierz Kaczmarczyk (1878–1966), a long time director of the State Archives in Poznań, in the Poznań-Pomorze Polish Librarians Union, the Poznań branch of the Polish Librarians and Archivists Union and in the Poznań branch of the Polish Librarians Association until 1939 and in the post-war years of 1945–1966. Prof. Kaczmarczyk’s participation in the works of the Poznań-based Association of Polish Bibliophiles between 1924 and 1939 is also briefly mentioned. The article discusses a vast collection of books that belonged to the Professor and the attempts to sell these holdings to the faculty of the Humanities of M. Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and later to the library of the Catholic University in Lublin

Artykuł przedstawia działalność zasłużonego archiwisty i historyka, długoletniego dyrektora Archiwum Państwowego w Poznaniu, prof. dra Kazimierza Kaczmarczyka (1878–1966) w Poznańsko-Pomorskim Kole Związku Bibliotekarzy Polskich, w Związku Bibliotekarzy Polskich Koło Poznańskie, Związku Bibliotekarzy i Archiwistów Polskich Koło Poznańskie oraz w Stowarzyszeniu Bibliotekarzy Polskich Okręg Poznański do roku 1939 oraz w latach 1945–1966. Wspomniano także o udziale Kaczmarczyka w pracach poznańskiego Towarzystwa Bibliofilów Polskich w latach 1924–1939. W artykule omówiono jego księgozbiór oraz starania o sprzedanie książek Wydziałowi Humanistycznemu Uniwersytetu Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie, a następnie Bibliotece Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego.

In XXI century interaction via the Internet has significant function. Information society provide citizens direct access to cultural heritage, which is available in data bases of archives and museums. Every institutions, which wants to engage and keep clients and users, should exist in the Internet. Making an account in a social networking service can be a part of public relations strategy. The main idea of this article is showing archives’ and museums’ accounts, which have been created on Facebook, the most popular social networking service in Poland. Creative way of using Facebook is excellent vehicle to popularisation activity of archives and museums. Author of the article discuss ways of using Facebook’s features, contents of archives’ and museums’ accounts and degree of theirs activity. The article include also information about spoils of having account in such social networking service for both institutions and their users.

Thesis/Objective: The article is to present one of the largest and most modern archival centers in the world – Pierrefitte-sur-Seine. The most recent, fifth in turn, location of French National Archives, was opened in 2013, which was supposed to mean, if not a new era of French archival science, than at least a symbolical overcoming of its prolonged crisis. Results and conclusions: The author discusses not only a new flagship French institution but also its historical development factors, problems arising from the „civilization jump” at the turn of twentieth and twenty-first century. She also tries to present a significant role of Pierrefitte in the process of breaking barriers to make cultural institutions more open to community needs. New shape of French archival science and its promotion on a national level was supported by various bodies. Its new location near Paris has crowned long-lasting efforts and makes a key point as regards the introduction of serious reforms in the archival sector for the incoming years.

Teza/cel artykułu - Celem artykułu jest prezentacja jednego z największych i najnowocześniejszych centrów archiwalnych na świecie ‒ Pierrefitte-sur-Seine. Będące najnowszą, piątą z kolei siedzibą Archiwów Narodowych Francji, zostało oddane do publicznego użytku w 2013 r., co miało stanowić początek, jeśli nie nowej ery francuskiej archiwistyki, to przynajmniej symboliczne przełamanie trapiącego ją od lat kryzysu. Wyniki i wnioski - Autorka zaprezentowała nie tylko nie znaną bliżej polskiemu odbiorcy nową, sztandarową instytucję Francji, ale też przedstawiła jej historyczne uwarunkowania rozwojowe, kłopoty z przełomu XX/XXI w. wynikające z „przyspieszenia cywilizacyjnego”, a z drugiej strony starała się ukazać doniosłą rolę Pierrefitte w przełamaniu barier na drodze do pełnego otwarcia instytucji kultury na potrzeby społeczne. O nowy kształt francuskiej archiwistyki, o jej promocję w skali narodowej zabiegały najróżniejsze gremia. Decyzja o powstaniu nowej jej siedziby nieopodal Paryża wydaje się ukoronowaniem wieloletnich starań, a zarazem najważniejszym asumptem do poważnych reform w omawianym sektorze na dalsze lata.
