Zur sprachlichen Kodierung von Emotionen im Diskurs

In this paper, the scientific interest will focus on the encoding of emotions as communicative practices in media discourses. Reference will be made to selected aspects of discourse-linguistic emotion research. Furthermore, the question of the emotionalization of discursive events will be investigated on the background of the role of the media fulfilled in the encoding emotions. Emotions as discursive practices are explored on the intratextual and transtextual levels of discourse analysis. Using the „Nord Stream” debate as an example, it will be shown how processes of encoding and generating emotions can be captured and analysed in the respective dimension.

Im Beitrag steht die Konstituierung von Emotionen als kommunikativen Praktiken in medialen Diskursen im Fokus des Interesses. Es wird dabei auf ausgewählte Aspekte diskurslinguistischer Emotionsforschung Bezug genommen. Vor dem Hintergrund der Rolle der Medien in der Kodierung von Emotionen wird der Frage der Emotionalisierung von diskursiven Ereignissen nachgegangen. Emotionen werden als diskursive Praktiken auf der intratextuellen und der transtextuellen Ebene der Diskursanalyse untersucht. Am Beispiel der „Nord Stream”- Debatte wird gezeigt, wie Prozesse der Kodierung und der Generierung von Emotionen in der jeweiligen Dimension erfasst und analysiert werden können.

Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird der Flüchtlingsdiskurs mit besonderem Blick auf transnationale Bezü­ge thematisiert. Die Grundlage dafür bilden deutsche und slowakische Pressetexte. Das Forschungs­interesse gilt dabei den Fragen, (a) wie die Einstellungen der jeweiligen Gesellschaft gegenüber Flüchtlinge durch die Sprache ausgedrückt werden, (b) welche Akteure den Diskurs dominieren und (c) welche Diskurskoalitionen entstehen. Konkrete Analysen werden auf Makro- und Mikroebene durchgeführt. Es werden einerseits zentrale Argumentationsmuster dargestellt, andererseits relevan­te Diskursakteure und deren Vernetzungen.

In this paper refugee discourse with a special focus on transnational aspects is being discussed. It is based on German and Slovakian press articles that are made available in the form of text corpora. The research interest lies in the questions of, (a) how the positions of the respective community against refugees through language can be expressed, (b) what actors dominate the discourse and (c) what type of discourse coalitions arise between them. Factual analyzations are carried out at the macro and micro level. On one hand there are some central argumentation patterns demonstrated, on the other hand relevant discourse actors and their network relationships are presented.

Von der postheroischen zur superheroischen Gesellschaft: Wie Superhelden unser Denken prägen

Heroes are omnipresent in our communicative everyday life – and they are often staged in the style of superheroes. In this way, a superhero iconography has been established, which has a significant influence on the process of creating meaning. Language constitutes our reality. Therefore, the use of superhero iconography reflects cultural changes, but at the same time it also contributes to the transfer of heroic ideas into the present. Overall, the research suggests that Germany is not so much a “post-heroic” society as a “super-heroic” society.

Held*innen sind in unserem kommunikativen Alltag allgegenwartig – und oft werden sie im Stile von Superhelden inszeniert. Hierdurch hat sich eine Superheldenikonografie etabliert, die Bedeutungsbildungsprozesse masgeblich beeinflusst. Sprache konstituiert unsere Wirklichkeit. Daher spiegeln sich im Gebrauch der Superheldenikonografie kulturelle Veranderungen wider, gleichzeitig tragt sie aber auch zur Uberfuhrung heldischer Vorstellungen in die Gegenwart bei. Insgesamt deuten die Untersuchungen darauf hin, dass Deutschland weniger eine „postheroische“, sondern vielmehr eine „superheroische Gesellschaft” ist.

The article deals with the question of how linguistic data obtained through discourse linguistic analyses are communicated outside linguistics. The focus is on the didactics of German as a foreign language, with a special focus on university German teacher training in Slovakia. It will be examined how the more recent disciplines such as discourse linguistics can be effectively integrated into the curriculum beyond classical linguistics.This requires an interdisciplinary perspective, which is offered here through the visualizations. Based on this background, case studies from the German and Slovakian migration discourse of 2015 will be used to show how optimized knowledge can be conveyed using visualizations, even across complex subject areas.

Artykuł podejmuje kwestię przekazu danych językowych uzyskanych na bazie analiz dyskursywno-lingwistycznych. W centrum rozważań sytuuje się dydaktyka języka niemieckiego jako obcego ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem specyfiki uniwersyteckiego kształcenia nauczycieli na Słowacji. Prowadzone rozważania oscylują wokół pytania, jak oprócz klasycznego językoznawstwa zintegrować w curriculum treści z zakresu nowych dyscyplin naukowych, jak np. z lingwistyki dyskursu. Koniecznym okazuje się spojrzenie interdyscyplinarne, które przedstawiają zamieszczone w artykule wizualizacje, stanowiące obiekt badań w obszarze niemiecko-słowackiego dyskursu migracyjnego z 2015 roku. Uwidaczniają one możliwość optymalnego przekazu informacji nawet z obszaru wiedzy specjalistycznej przy zastosowaniu odpowiednich technik wizualizacji.

In dem Beitrag wird auf die Frage eingegangen, wie durch diskurslinguistische Analysen gewonnene sprachliche Daten außerhalb der Sprachwissenschaft vermittelt werden. Im Fokus steht dabei die DaF-Didaktik mit besonderem Blick auf die universitäre Deutschlehrerausbildung in der Slowakei. Es wird untersucht, wie man über die klassische Sprachwissenschaft hinaus auch die neuesten Disziplinen wie die Diskurslinguistik effektiv in das Curriculum integrieren kann.Hierzu ist eine interdisziplinäre Perspektive erforderlich, die hier durch die Visualisierungen angeboten wird. Vor diesem Hintergrund wird anhand von Fallbeispielen aus dem deutschen und dem slowakischen Migrationsdiskurs von 2015 gezeigt, wie durch den Einsatz von Visualisierungen auch über komplexe Fachbereiche ein optimiertes Wissen vermittelt werden kann.
