Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie dostępnych informacji o dojazdach do pracy oraz możliwości przeprowadzenia na ich podstawie charakterystyki rynku pracy w przekrojach regionalnych - na poziomie województw, powiatów i gmin. O ważności podjętej problematyki dojazdów do pracy może świadczyć fakt, że więcej niż co czwarta osoba zatrudniona w Polsce pracuje poza swoim miejscem zamieszkania. (fragment tekstu)

The aim of the article is to draw the reader's attention to the possibility to use information on data concerning commutes to work. Surveying them, we can deepen our knowledge on particular regions as well as on situation on their labour markets. The most frequently reasons of the starting work outside residence place were discussed in the study. One should pay attention to the diversity of the commute to work intensity between urban and rural areas in Poland and in Wielkopolskie voivodship. The influence of a distance to big cities on the intensity of commutes to work was analyzed on the example of poviats and communes of the Wielkopolskie voivodship. (original abstract)

W artykule przedstawiono metody grupowania obszarów przestrzennych w badaniach przepływów ludności. Mogą one być postrzegane zarówno jako migracje, a także jako dojazdy do pracy w innym terenie. Charakterystyczną cechą tego modelu jest niesymetryczność macierzy dystansów wyrażających przemieszczenia ludności pomiędzy danymi obszarami, spowodowana faktem, iż intensywność przepływu osób z jednego terenu do drugiego może być całkiem inna niż w kierunku przeciwnym. Opisano niektóre metody konstrukcji siatki przepływów pomiędzy badanymi obszarami i ich grupowania z wykorzystaniem tego modelu. Odwołano się także do kilku sposobów wykorzystania grupowania populacji w praktycznych badaniach reprezentacyjnych, które można zastosować w planowanych spisach powszechnych. (abstrakt oryginalny)

In the article some methods of clustering of spatial areas in the surveys of population flows were presented. These flows may be perceived both as migrations and as commuting to work to another areas. The characteristic feature of this model is non-symmetry of distances' matrixes expressing flows between given areas, caused by the fact that the intensity of population flow from one area to another may be totally different than in the opposite direction. There were described some methods of flow grid's construction between examined areas and their clustering with the use of this model. Several ways of population 's clustering use in the practical sample surveys, which can be applied in the planned censuses, were also recalled. (original abstract)
