The central theme of this paper is the presentation of research findings in “Moral Reasoning”. The problems involved are discussed with respect to secondary education in economy. The main task of the paper is to analyse the ability of secondary school students of economy to solve moral dilemmas and based on the findings we would like to define necessary steps to form and improve students’ professional ethics. We expect that through establishing and application of the measuring instrument of the level of moral reasoning we acquire the basis for creating systematic curriculum for business ethics education not only for the secondary school level but also for university level and other areas of education in ethics.

Knowledge and understanding of basic economic concepts is the basis for the future orientation of young people in the world of economy and influences taken in this sphere behavior. Nowadays, children earlier and earlier take activity in economy, thus the role of economic knowledge increases. The article records the results of research on economic knowledge concerning basic concepts and on the understanding of market mechanisms by Polish pupils as well as presents the institutional form of economic education in Poland. The conducted research show that young people in Poland have insufficient economic knowledge. Forms of economic education of pupils conducted by the Polish National Bank and other commercial banks as well as The Children University of Economic and The University of Young Economist are also discussed.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badania ankietowego przeprowadzonego w styczniu 2010 r. wśród studentów nowo utworzonej specjalności, a więc przed końcem I semestru studiów. Celem badania było poznanie pobudek, którymi kierowali się kandydaci na studia, dokonując wyboru specjalności Wycena, Zarządzanie i Obrót Nieruchomościami, a także ich oczekiwań co do charakteru pracy po ukończeniu studiów oraz poziomu wynagrodzenia. Ponadto ankieta zawierała pytania sondujące powagę traktowania studiów oraz "doświadczenia w studiowaniu", w tym również na innych kierunkach czy specjalnościach. (fragment tekstu)

Results of questionnaire survey conducted among students of new created study field ("valuation management and estate") tern over are presented in the paper. The aim of the is research was the identification of reasons of the study filed selection by students, as well as their anticipations of work character after graduation and expectations about earnings level.
