Jubileusz 400-lecia śmierci bł. Reginy Protmann był okazją, aby na nowo przyjrzeć się jej życiu, dziełu i charyzmatowi, jakim została obdarowana przez Boga. Należy wciąż na nowo odczytywać jej duchowość jako drogę wytyczoną wskazaniami ewangelicznymi. Kościół łaciński przeżywa renesans ikon. Namalowana ikona z okazji jubileuszu śmierci bł. Reginy jest konkretną formą zarówno przekazu wiary jaką żyła, jak i propozycją włączenia się w jej duchowość całkowicie skupioną na posłuszeństwie woli Bożej. Swoim życiem poświęconym w pełni Bogu i Kościołowi przypomniała, że istotą życia konsekrowanego jest kontemplacja Jego tajemnic na modlitwie oraz służba chorym, biednym i odrzuconym.

The 400th anniversary of the death of blessed Regina Protmann was an opportunity to contemplate once more her life, her work and charisma, which was her gift from God. Her spirituality must be read anew as a practical model of following the evangelical guidelines. The Catholic Church is undergoing a kind of renaissance in the popularity of icons. An icon painted as a celebration of the anniversary of her death is a concrete form of the transmission of faith that she lived by as well as a proposal to join her spiritual message as expressed in the words: as God wishes! By her life devoted to God and the Church, she reminds us that the essence of a consecrated life lies in contemplating His mystery in prayer as well as serving the sick, the poor and the rejected.

Der 400-jährige Todestag der selig gesprochenen Regina Protmann lieferte den Anlass, ihr Leben, ihr Werk und ihr Charisma, mit dem sie durch Gott beschert war, neu zu betrachten. Ihre Geistigkeit, die als ein konkreter Vorschlag zu verstehen ist, das Leben nach den Geboten des Evangeliums zu verwirklichen, soll immer wieder neu gedeutet werden. Die lateinische Kirche erlebt eine gewisse Ikonen-Renaissance. Die gemalte Ikone zu ihrem Todestag bildet eine konkrete Form der Glaubensübermittlung, nach dem sie ihr Leben gestaltete wie auch ein Angebot, sich an ihre Geistigkeit, ausgedrückt nach dem Motto: Sei der Wille Gottes, anzuschließen. Mit ihrem Leben, das sie dem Gott und der Kirche gewidmet hat, erinnert sie, dass das Wesen des geweihten Lebens in der Komplentation Seiner Geheimnisse durch Gebete sowie der Hingabe und dem Dienst für Kranke, Arme und Ausgestoßene liegt.
