The author of the presented study made a thorough comparative analysis of the content of can. 1124–1129 CIC and §§ 62–66 of “Marital Law of the Polish Catholic Church” concerning mixed marriages. The analyses he carried out prove that the contradiction of norms results from the fact that the legislator of both Churches introduced a prohibition to contract this type of marriages. According to the author, the norms included in article 2 § 2, n. 1 of the instruction Dignitas connubi force us to respect the autonomy of the decision of the power of the Pol- ish Catholic Church about not issuing a permission to contract a mixed marriage because it is accepted that this decision is based on principle of legality. It is as- sumed that keeping the prohibition in force results from not fulfilling by one or both parties the conditions laid down by the Polish Catholic law. The author believes that taking into consideration the content of article 2 § 2, n. 1 DC which accentuates the autonomous nature of legal systems of other churches and ecclesial communities, one should also respect the fact of not is- suing by the Polish Catholic ordinary a dispensation from the permitted form of marriage.

The analyses presented in the article show that the obligations regarding the contracting parties codified in § 63, n. 1-3 of „Marriage Law of the Polish Catholic Church” do not in general collide with the requirements specified by the legislator in can. 1125, n. 1-3 CIC. Therefore, meeting the obligations by the Catholic party does not contradict the doctrinal approach of Roman Catholic Church to the issue of mixed marriages. The author believes that if a Catholic is willing to enter into marriage with a member of Polish Catholic Church, the marital contract enters the juridic area of the Polish Catholic legislator. It is this legislator that has the right to specify, according to his own system presumptions, the conditions necessary to contract this type of marriage which, in consequence, should be fulfilled by the Catholic party.

Charakterystyczną cechą katolickiej myśli teologicznej ostatnich lat, jest zainteresowanie tematem miłosierdzia. Miłosierdzie Boże oprócz biblijno-dogmatycznego posiada również wymiar liturgiczny. Liturgia bowiem stanowi uprzywilejowane miejsce doświadczenia i głoszenia miłosierdzia Bożego. Dokonuje się to w ciągu całego roku liturgicznego. W rytmie i wydarzeniach czasu bowiem Kościół wspomina i przeżywa tajemnice zbawienia, doświadczając miłosierdzia Bożego, które najpełniej objawia nam Jezus Chrystus. Kościół wyraża i przeżywa swoją wiarę we wszystkich modlitwach, ale czyni to w sposób szczególny w modlitwach towarzyszących sprawowaniu Eucharystii w ciągu całego roku liturgicznego.

A characteristic feature of Catholic theological thought in recent years is the interest in the subject of God`s mercy. The mercy of God apart from its biblical and dogmatic aspect also has a liturgical dimension. Indeed, the liturgy is the privileged place of the experience and proclamation of mercy. This is done throughout the liturgical year. In the rhythm of events and the time we remember and live the mysteries of salvation, experiencing God`s mercy which is most fully revealed by Christ. The Church expresses and experiences her faith in all prayers but does so in a special way in the prayers accompanying the celebration of the Eucharist throughout the liturgical year. The purpose of this article is to show how the mystery of God`s mercy is revealed and celebrated during the celebration of Mass throughout the liturgical year in the Polish Catholic Church. Not a day goes by as the Church celebrates the Eucharist where she does not refer to a merciful God. Prayers contained in the Rite of Mass of the Polish Catholic Church speak of this. At every opportunity the Church cries out to the God of mercy. Of all the calls to the mercy of God which are part of the Holy Mass, the Holy Sacrifice is in its essence the most powerful plea before God for pity and mercy.
