Opracowanie zawiera analizę uwarunkowań konsumpcji w polskich gospodarstwach domowych przeprowadzoną na podstawie danych z badań budżetów gospodarstw domowych GUS. Do opracowania wyników zastosowano wielowymiarowe metody statystyczne: sieci neuronowych Kohonena i analizy dyskryminacyjnej. Z analizy wynika, że na wydatki gospodarstw domowych w największym stopniu wpływa dochód rozporządzalny oraz liczba osób w gospodarstwie. Korzystniejszą sytuację materialną zaobserwowano w gospodarstwach zlokalizowanych w miastach, w których głowy gospodarstwa posiadają wyższe wykształcenie, a głównym źródłem utrzymania jest praca najemna na stanowiskach nierobotniczych lub praca na własny rachunek. Najmniejsze wydatki ponosiły gospodarstwa osób starszych, nieaktywnych zawodowo, gdzie głównym źródłem utrzymania są emerytury. (abstrakt oryginalny)

This elaboration contains the analysis of consumption conditionings in the Polish households, which was carried out on the base of data coming from households' budgets surveys conducted by the CSO. To elaborate findings the multidimensional statistical methods were used: Kohonen neuron network and discriminant analysis. The analysis shows that the most significant influence on the households' expenses has a disposable income and the number of persons in the households. Better material situation was observed in the households located in cities, in which the heads of households have higher education and their main income comes from the hired labor on non-worker positions or on one 's working on own account. The lowest expenses incur the households of old people, economically passive, where the pensions are their main income. (original abstract)

Przeanalizowano dane dotyczące wydatków w gospodarstwach domowych na kształcenie dzieci. Wykorzystano wyniki badań budżetów gospodarstw domowych przeprowadzonych przez GUS za rok 2001, którymi objęto 31847 gospodarstw domowych.

Investing in education is a basic target of State and citizens. In Poland education aspirations of society are increasing and expenditures on education are increasing too. Level of costs spent by parents on education of children depends on some reasons. Education of parents, their material situation, place of living, a number of children in family are taken into consideration. Well-educated people who live in cities more willingly invest in education of children than others. (original abstract)
