The article focuses on the problem of subject and subjectivity in contemporary Slovak lyric poetry. It deals with the major stress put on subjectivity in poetry, which is char-acteristic also of youth as a stage in the development of human individual, and ex-plores the co-relation of both. The example of the texts by Michal Habaj, published under pseudonym of a fictitious young authoress Anna Snegina, reveals the limits of interpretation which does not take account of the real authorship. In the same time, the identity of the authorial and lyrical subject appears problematic and this fact has its bearing on the reception of texts with a false signature.
