The author presents in this paper the developing process of German Green Party. So day there are a lot of green parties all over the world, but and the German greens are the most successful, they are an example for other green parties.

The period of German reunification was a very turbulent time for the Green Party. Plagued by internal conflicts and wrong decisions made during the campaign, it seemed to have come to a standstill, letting its competitors overtake it. Why did the Greens fail to take advantage of the period of German reunification, and why did the party’s East German roots have such a huge impact on its subsequent actions in the political arena? The internal war over the ideology that should guide the party in the future and the clarification of the concepts that defined the Green Party’s identity coincided with the most difficult election campaign since the party was founded. The following article touches on intra-party conflicts, the evolution of the Greens’ demands, the ifluence of key figures in shaping party strategy during the period of German reunification and relations between party branches on both sides of the Berlin Wall. It also discusses the situation of the Green Party in East Germany and West Germany before and just after reunification (i.e. after the first Bundestag elections after reunification).

A human should always act according to his/her conscience and freedom. One should not be forced to act against one's conscience. This conscience, in a situation when one must decide between action and inaction, expresses agreement or disapproval, called conscientious objection in this study. The present paper discusses it in connection with selected issues of contemporary ecology, such as: conscientious objection to the cultivation and processing of transgenic plants and crops (GMO), to the construction of nuclear power plants, to the activities of the Green Party and finally conscientious objection to the "conscientious  objection".

Człowiek powinien działać zgodnie z sumieniem i wolnością. Nie wolno go zmuszać, aby postępował wbrew swojemu sumieniu. Sumienie to, w konkretnej sytuacji, gdy człowiek musi podjąć decyzję o działaniu lub niedziałaniu, wyraża zgodę lub dezaprobatę, zwaną w tym opracowaniu sprzeciwem sumienia. Dotyczy on wybranych zagadnień współczesnej ekologii. W tym też kontekście zostały rozważone takie zagadnienia jak: sprzeciw sumienia wobec uprawy i przetwarzania roślin transgenicznych (GMO), wobec budowy elektrowni atomowych, wobec działalności Partii Zielonych i wreszcie sprzeciw sumienia wobec „sprzeciwu sumienia”.
