This paper is focused on terminological issues concerning the ethics of teaching. In connection with the profession of teachers we find weaknesses or even absence of theoretical modelling of professional ethics within philosophy and ethics at all (not only in Slovakia and Czech Republic); moreover, similar situation exists in pedagogy. Therefore we stress the importance of “visualising”the ethics of teaching in the context of Czech and Slovak education. The ethics of teaching becomes an important topic in Slovakia and Czech Republic. There is a growing need for theoretical modelling of ethics of teaching as well as for the ethics code of teaching in Slovakia. In my paper the opinions concerning the notions and contents of ethics of teaching are analysed; I will also discuss different attitudes to the 12 Studie – Pedagogická orientace č. 2, 2007 ethics of teaching. New definition of the ethics of teaching will be formed. Because the dynamic development of the society brings many ethical and moral problems in education (including teaching profession) the importance of including the topics of the ethics of teaching in pre-service teacher training is emphasised.

Real estate agents play an important role in the development of the real estate market. A real estate agent is required to perform in accordance with the rules of the law and professional standards, with special care appropriate to the professional nature of these activities and the rules of professional conduct. The Code of Ethics of the profession arises from the generally accepted moral and ethical standards. The aim of this paper is to discuss some approximations, and so far the applicable rules of professional conduct of real estate agents, as well as to attempt to answer the question of whether an absence of professional ethics may mean that a career of a real estate agent will almost exclusively gain economic sense, that means only profit-oriented, and whether we can expect a significant reduction in the quality of services provided by real estate agents?

The article describes employee's and ethical liability of a medical doctor in view of the current legal situation. Author characterized some forms of liability assumed by a doctor employed at a medical entity. Such forms include: professional liability, liability for acts performed when on duty and financial liability, as presented in the provisions of the Labour Code and Civil Code. Author has also described a medical doctor's profession as a profession of public trust and a "freelance" job.

This article is devoted to the relationship that arises between efficiency and ethics in the personnel policy. The article seeks to be demonstrated that the efficiency criterion should dominate the ethical criterion for the selection of managers. Such an approach is not fully respected. The results of an experiment showed that people give more importance to the ethical criterion of than to efficiency criterion.

Nowadays, ethical issues are becoming increasingly important in the social consciousness, including the economic awareness. At the same time globalization forces strong competition. Creation of an ethical image of the organization can make a profit, as improving the management and elimination of conflicts. These tools of effective management is only part of those offered the use of codes of ethics in business. So it seems the right approach to combine profit with profit intangible material, ethical, in order to achieve economic success.

Zbieżność z funkcjami, jakie można przypisać działalności specjalistów z zakresu public relations jest wręcz zaskakująca. Dostarczanie informacji jest wszak uznawane za istotę PR. Informacja ta, jako odnosząca się do zmian na lepsze w danej instytucji, jest najczęściej rzeczywiście powiązana z pozytywnie waloryzowaną innowacją czy postępem. Wielokrotnie także w cytowanych powyżej definicjach public relations podkreśla się rolę tego rodzaju działalności w wyjaśnianiu wizji świata, budowaniu autorytetów (które wszak często w tego rodzaju komunikacji funkcjonują). Public relations, jako dialog i komunikacja nastawiona na podtrzymywanie wzajemnie korzystnych relacji, ze swej istoty koordynuje działania i podtrzymuje/kreuje konsensus społeczny. W oczywisty także sposób wspomaga procesy socjalizacyjne. Prezentuje i podtrzymuje tym samym kultury i światy wartości (style życia i światy przeżyć w kontekście marki). Public relations nie można także oczywiście odmówić funkcji rozrywkowej i mobilizacyjnej - ta ostania jest głównie realizowana przez działania powiązane z CSR, których rolę w public relations coraz wyraźniej się eksponuje.

The paper is an attempt to answer the question about social functions of public relations. The author analysis basic definitions of PR in polish theoretical and practical discourse and point out at their correlation to (ethical) values. Then, in the context of advertising and branding, she analysis functions ascribed to public relations and the essence of considerable social influence of that kind of activity. PR functions are very close to media functions. They obligate PR specialists to go by the criterion of social responsibility.
