The main purpose of the study was the identification of activities which may be taken by companies against their employees, as a group of stakeholders. This identification is grounded on the theory of corporate social responsibility, within the recommended actions and responsibilities of a company against the employees. In practical dimension, the study provides the analysis of a case study of one Polish company. The case study is based on the data provided in annual reports of a company with regard to various types of actions taken against the employees. These actions were further confronted with the recommendations of the theory. The study found that the analyzed company articulates wide range of actions supporting employees, which widely corresponds with the recommendations of the theory.

The paper assumes that fear presents a certain degree of ambivalence. To say it with Hans Jonas (1903-1993), fear is not only a negative emotion, but may teach us something very important: we recognize what is relevant when we perceive that it is at stake. Under this respect, fear may be assumed as a guide to responsibility, a virtue that is becoming increasingly important, because of the role played by human technology in the current ecological crisis. Secondly, fear and responsibility concern both dimensions of human action: private-individual and public-collective. What the ‘heuristics of fear’ teaches us, is to become aware of a deeper ambivalence, namely the one which characterizes as such human freedom, which may aim to good or bad, to self-preservation or self-destruction. Any public discussion concerning political or economic issues related with human action (at an individual or collective level) ought not to leave this essential idea out of consideration.

In this paper we refer to the freedom of man and also his responsibility for the acts. In the introduction we define freedom and we point out how has freedom been understood in Greek philosophy and how it is understood in the modern philosophy. We refer to the freedom of the first people in paradise at the beginning of creation and the loss of freedom through the first sin. We analyze the relationship of liberty and law, liberty and truth and liberty of conscience and objection of conscience. The freedom of man is related to his responsibility and therefore in this paper we define the terms of responsibility and we clarify personal, family and political responsibility.

The issue of ecological theological discourses has been neglected and abandoned for a long time by the end of the theological spectrum, which resulted in the topic of Christian faith as a co‑ perpetrator in the context of the current ecological crisis. It is above all an anthropocentric turn in Christian faith and the interpretation of the Biblical myth of creation that has been identified as a reason which has led to the spread of ecological disaster and despotic dominance of man over nature. The theological discourse in the 1980s, however, strongly reinforced the idea of ecology, which is related to an increasingly urgent ecological state. The theological space begins to apply, in particular through the ideas of the Evangelical Jürgen Moltmann, a certain turn to creation, where, along with the accenting task of the Kingdom, the relation at the level of man‑ nature is brought to the attention of man as a creation. Turning towards creation along with responsibility for the veil was a change in the paradigm of theological thinking that opened up space for the accentuation of Matthew Fox‘s “living cosmology” and, in particular, the “mystique of defiance” of the Protestant theologian Dorothee Sölle. It is precisely the ideas of “ecotheology” or “green theology” that center on creation in its divine unity, Dorothee Sölle considers the basis for consistently accentuating relations and reciprocity in the context of creation where the essential aspect is active participation and responsibility for connivance which God has entrusted to humanity.

In her writing, Vera Feyder, representative of the tribe called by the historians of Belgian iterature generation of identity, the question of identity is inextricably linked with the experience of World War II. The memory of childhood marked by the martyrdom of his father and the deep misery and loneliness, in which the author and his mother lived in the wartime, decide on the content and meaning of her writing. A sense of responsibility for other people, all resistance to the injustice, disagreement with indifference, memory of the past – it is a kind of code, which, according to Feyder, should apply a modern writer.

The safeguarding of minors and of vulnerable adult persons is an intrinsic aspect of the mission that the Lord has entrusted the Church and it is the responsibility of all the faithful to fulfil it, whatever capacity they hold in the Church. Unfortunately, it is not possible to eradicate child abuse entirely as it is a human reality, but much can be done by creating a culture of safe space and safe relationships within the Church and beyond. The Catholic Church, as the oldest and biggest institution in the world and with its religious and moral values, has a special responsibility in preventing any kind of abuse, in protecting the most vulnerable, and furthermore, in Safeguarding; in creating safe spaces and safe relationships. Listening to victims and survivors of abuse who have been harmed in the Church or outside, is key for being and acting in a responsible, accountable, and transparent way. This is the cornerstone for credibility and for promoting the faith.

The modern politics deals with the issues and problems requiring long-term antici-pation. Moreover, the political responsibility does not reach any limits and the technolo-gical development, and dynamic character of the reality increase a gap between the exer¬cising the power and anticipation of the long-term consequences of the human actions. The state should be the ”sward of justice” and the institution transforming the me-taphysical responsibility into real one. The market, being the sum of the decisions of in-dividuals, is not able to cultivate the values, which can help the individuals to be respon-sible for their actions

In this article, the Author criticizes the propositions of changes which are planned to be made in the Polish consumer sale law, demonstrating that almost all of these propositions are ill-founded or badly-designed. According to him, the reason is twofold. First, the proffered solutions do not fit the very reality in which consumer sale takes place in Poland (and not only here): especially the basic need to maintain positive relations among the consumers and sellers as well as between the sellers and their direct and indirect suppliers seems to be – by the drafters – utterly disregarded. Second, the propositions are very often based upon fallacious assumptions or the misunderstanding of working of a legal institution they have wanted to reform. The more significant concern, however, lies in the fact that full of defects though the planned changes are, almost none of these defects has been discerned and pointed out by the consulted organizations and state agencies whose mission is to take care of the consumers’ and entrepreneurs’ rights and interests. In consequence, one is tempted to ask who, if not such organizations and agencies, is to see to the needs of the market and its participants having been properly secured in the Polish consumer law.

The purpose of this study is a philosophical analysis of the phenomenon of social responsibility and the peculiarities of the process of its transformation, which took place in the context of globalization. The objective of the study is to determine the nature of the impact of the globalization process on the transformation of the institution of responsibility. In the course of the research, systematic, formal-logical and historical methods of scientific cognition were used. A civilizational approach was also applied, in which the analysis of the object and subject of research was carried out taking into account civilizational features. As a result of the research, we came to the conclusion that globalization in its modern form is a process of modernization within the whole of humanity. Currently, in the vast majority of the most economically and technologically developed countries of the planet, there is such a negative phenomenon as negative demographic dynamics. In turn, this phenomenon is accompanied by a deep crisis of the institution of the family, and with it a massive departure from traditional norms and values. In such conditions, such an important institution and instrument regulating public relations as the institute of social responsibility inevitably undergoes a serious transformation. In the course of this process, there is a transition to the so-called modern society, the fundamental difference of which from the traditional one is that it is focused on the innovative component of culture, which in fact means the ever-increasing predominance of innovative elements over traditional ones, the secular nature of public life, development, which has a progressive, and not cyclical, the formation of democratic institutions, the mass nature of education, the dominance of the universal over the local, etc. All these innovative elements of culture, taken both separately and in combination, have a decisive influence on the entire Worldview of people, including their perception of justice and responsibility.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie części wyników badań określających zaangażowanie mikro-, małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw świadczących usługi noclegowe w województwie zachodniopomorskim, w realizację założeń koncepcji CSR.

The adverse effects of crises create the need for prospective solutions in the context of generating defensive and positive responses to economic crises. It is difficult to unambiguously decide which solutions would be the best, but it is worthwhile to undertake any strengthening activities. One of the proposals may be the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR), which is a sensible tool for building resilient market relationships. In spite of the fact that even in Poland, the increased interest in the concept of CSR has been observed, it seems to be an incomplete expression of the message of this idea. The aim of the article is to present part of the results of the studies on the involvement of micro- and medium-sized enterprises providing accommodation services in the Westpomeranian Voivodeship in the implementation of the assumptions of CSR.

Catechesis is intrinsically geared towards the salvific process which goes on between God and man. This process has the structure of an interpersonal dialogue. The task of catechesis is to help young people to engage in a dialogue with God. In the structure of catechesis, pride of place goes to personal contact. It consists in the sharing of the experience of faith and human values which takes place as part of a common search for the will of God. Catechetical dialogue should be characterized by a pursuit of truth; clarity of expression; respect for the other person; transcending one’s thought patterns in order to find new possibilities for understanding and constructive cooperation through a shared quest; and the ability to remain silent and open up to the other person to understand their viewpoint from the inside.
