Cultural Glottodidactics Abroad – Some Thoughts on the Practice of Teaching

The article is part of the considerations in the field of cultural glottodidactics presenting two examples of didactic practice at the University of Paris: a short story From Darkness (Pol. Z ciemności) by Sławomir Mrożek and the film Day of the Wacko (Pol. Dzień świra) by Marek Koterski. The description of work on these cultural texts aims to show interpretative possibilities, limited due to the specificity of foreign studies, to a narrow or broader context of historical and intertextual references. It shows what elements of Polish culture are indispensable when transferring knowledge about it.

Artykuł wpisuje się w rozważania z dziedziny glottodydaktyki kulturowej. Opisano dwa przykłady praktyki dydaktycznej na Uniwersytecie Paryskim, oparte na analizie opowiadania Z ciemności Sławomira Mrożka oraz filmu Dzień świra w reżyserii Marka Koterskiego. Opis pracy nad tymi tekstami kultury ma na celu pokazanie możliwości interpretacyjnych, ograniczonych – ze względu na specyfikę studiów zagranicznych – do wąskiego lub szerszego kontekstu odwołań historycznych i intertekstualnych. Niniejsza propozycja ukazuje te elementy kultury polskiej, które wydają się kluczowe dla niej samej.

The article is dedicated to the issue of how to teach the grammar of numerals to foreigners. The article exposes the problem of a dual way of expressing plurality in sentence structures. The author provides the grammatical explanation of the issue provided, in which the nominality of the numerals (lower or higher than 5) determines the nominative or genitive sentence structure. Together with the neurolinguistics interpretation of this mechanism, the text provides also linguacultural reflections which constitute its essence. An anthropomethric explanation and the history of the formation of the linguistic principle are illustrated. Additionally, the text is a particular proposal of an interdisciplinary narrative in teaching the Polish language.

Artykuł jest poświęcony wybranemu zagadnieniu nauczania cudzoziemców jpjo – gramatyce liczebnika. Eksponuje problem dwojakiego wyrażania mnogości w konstrukcjach zdaniowych. Wskazana jest nie tylko gramatyczna wykładnia tego zagadnienia, gdzie nominalność użytych liczebników (mniejszych lub większych niż 5) decyduje o mianownikowej bądź dopełniaczowej konstrukcji zdania. Obok neurolingwistycznej interpretacji takiego mechanizmu, w tekście prowadzone są lingwakulturowe rozważania, stanowiące jego istotę. Pojawia się wyjaśnienie antropometryczne i historia tworzenia się istniejącej obecnie zasady językowej. Dodatkowo tekst stanowi swoistą propozycję interdyscyplinarnej narracji w nauczaniu polszczyzny.
