The article constitutes an attempt at an introductory description of educational values of eleven short stories for children written by Agnieszka Zimnowodzka. While discussing the educational function of the selected material, considering the compositional-structural and semantic-linguistic (including naming) layers of the stories, references to pragmalingusitic analysis and theory of semantic fields (with appropriate methodological solutions) were made.

Baśń stanowi niewątpliwie istotny element kultury duchowej społeczeństw. Jest jednym z podstawowych gatunków epiki ludowej, w której w fantastycznej formie ludowej, utrwalone zostały poglądy na stosunki międzyludzkie, ideały dobra i sprawiedliwości oraz kryteria oceny ludzkich poczynań. Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie trzech podstawowych wartości baśni: wychowawczych, dydaktycznych i terapeutycznych, które mają doniosłe znaczenie dla rozwoju dziecka w wieku przedszkolnym, a także dla procesu edukacyjnego. Tekst jest analizą wybranej literatury przedmiotu.

A fairy tale is undoubtedly an important element of the spiritual culture of society. It is one of the major types of folk epics, in which in fantastic form of folk have been established views on human relationships, ideals of right and justice, and criteria for evaluation of human endeavour. Aim of this paper is to present three fundamental values ??of fairy tales: educative, educational and therapeutic, which are particularly relevant to the development of a child in preschool, and for the educational process. The text represents an analysis of selected literature.

Przybliża osobę Juraja Páleša jako autora podręcznika pedagogiki i analizuje jego poglądy pedagogiczne, szczególną uwagę zwracając na wartości wychowawcze, osobowość´ nauczyciela i historyczne konsekwencje jego poglądów pedagogicznych.

An article dissertates with the personality of Juraj Páleš – who was the first headmaster of the ”Teacher’s Propaganda” in Spis Chapter. It also deals with his pedagogical activities and culturally-religious and socially-political conditions in time of his active working. It approaches the personality of Juraj Páleš as the author of Pedagogy textbook and analyses his pedagogical opinions with individual regards on educational values, a teacher's personality and historical consequentions of his pedagogical opinions.

Seeking the essence of merciful love, the author analyses its phenomenon in three aspects: theological, existential, and pedagogical. In the theological aspect merciful love appears to be an attribute through which we come to know God and understand His presence in the world and human life. In the existential aspect it is determined by the need, and in the pedagogical aspect by the attitude, to which people should be educated, bearing in mind a merciful attitude towards one another. Mercy treated as an educational value is understood as appreciative, uplifting and bringing people their lost humanity, lost dignity. This publication brings home to us the essence of merciful love, but allows us to learn about the papal message concerning the need to develop the new imagination of mercy. It also shows that merciful love is an extremely complex and rich problem, variously interpreted and frequently evoking different opinions and attitudes.

The value system of a person is considered to be a relatively stable phenomenon, but certain events and social conditions can influence it. As young people are mostly consumers of educational services it seems important to explore the educational values they possess in order to understand what they strive for and expect when getting higher education.The pandemic and war became significant factors that influenced, i.a. the educational practices of modern youth and,by extension, their system of values. In the present study, we decided to focus onone of the elements of the system of values, that is, the concept of individualization, which was studiedin the context of university education.

System wartości człowieka jest stosunkowo stabilny, ale pewne wydarzenia i warunki społeczne mogą na niego wpływać. W kontekście usług edukacyjnych szczególnie istotne wydaję się badanie zmian w świadomości wartości młodzieży, gdyż to oni są w większości konsumentami usług edukacyjnych. Dzięki takim działaniom łatwiej zrozumieć dążenia młodzieży, jej oczekiwania i potrzeby związane z wyższym wykształceniem. Pandemia i wojna stały się znaczącymi czynnikami, które wpłynęły między innymi na praktyki edukacyjne współczesnej młodzieży, a co za tym idzie mogły mieć wpływ na jej system wartości. W niniejszym artykule poddano analizie jeden z elementów systemu wartości, a mianowicie konstrukt indywidualizacji, który zbadaliśmy, w ramach badania pilotażowego, w szerszym kontekście edukacji uniwersyteckiej.
