The article discusses a study of physical disability triggered by a sexshop’s controversial window-display which included typical items related to disability and illness. The study’s aim is to recognize the specificity of emotional perception, as reported by respondents with and without motor disability, against the background of cultural patterns of emotionality and contemporary discourses on people with disabilities.

Problematyka artykułu dotyczy interpretacji niepełnosprawności ruchowej, konstruowanych pod wpływem kontrowersyjnej ekspozycji witryny sex-shopu, wykorzystującej typowe rekwizyty związane z niepełnosprawnością i chorobą. Jego celem jest rozpoznawanie swoistości percepcji emocjonalnej respondentów pełnosprawnych i z niepełnosprawnością ruchową na tle kulturowych wzorów emocjonalności i współczesnych dyskursów, dotyczących osób z niepełnosprawnością.
