In view of changes in the business environment, including the aging of the population and the overall entering into the labor market of Generation Y, intergenerational management is gaining in importance. Currently, there are four generations on the labor market: Veterans, Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Generation Y and its successors. They have diverse value systems, expectations, work attitudes, and preferences. Bearing these aspects in mind, the contemporary organization should analyze its Human Resource Management (HRM) policy and strategy as well as instruments implemented in its various areas. The purpose of this article is to analyze recruitment practices—one of the important subfunctions of HRM—in terms of managing generations. This analysis was performed in conjunction with selection, internal communications, and spontaneous employer branding.

Wobec zmian zachodzących w otoczeniu przedsiębiorstw, w tym starzenia się ludności oraz powszechnego wchodzenia na rynek pracy pokolenia Y, zarządzanie międzypokoleniowe nabiera na znaczeniu. Obecnie na rynku pracy funkcjonują cztery generacje: weterani, baby boomers, pokolenie X, pokolenie Y i jego następcy. Mają one różne systemy wartości i oczekiwań, postawy w pracy oraz preferencje. Uwzględniając te aspekty, współczesne organizacje powinny przeanalizować politykę i strategię zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi (ZZL) oraz stosowane w poszczególnych jego obszarach instrumenty. Celem artykułu jest analiza praktyk rekrutacji, jednej z ważnych subfunkcji ZZL w świetle zarządzania pokoleniami. Została ona wykonana w powiązaniu z selekcją, komunikacją wewnętrzną i kreowaniem wizerunku pracodawcy z wyboru.
