RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: To create a cognitive definition of the stranger concept. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: What images of the world are hidden behind different profiles of the stranger concept. Semantic analysis of the text is used as a method. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: Reconstructing the way of profiling and the profiles of a stranger concept in different opinion weeklies. RESEARCH RESULTS: Reconstructing two profiles of the stranger (isolating and inclusive) in differently oriented opinion weeklies, revealing different images of the social world and the process of building semantic justifications for different behavioral manifestations towards the stranger. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDTIONS: The reconstruction carried out may be an important indication for educators to work on the pupils ways of articulating the social world, because there are precede their actions.

CEL NAUKOWY: Skonstruowanie definicji kognitywnej pojęcia obcego. PROBLEM I METODY BADAWCZE: Jakie obrazy świata kryją się za odmiennymi profilami pojęcia obcego? Wykorzystaną metodą jest analiza semantyczna tekstu. PROCES WYWODU: Rekonstruowanie sposobu profilowania i profili pojęcia obcego w tygodnikach opinii o odmiennej orientacji ideologicznej. WYNIKI ANALIZY NAUKOWEJ: Zrekonstruowanie w tygodnikach opinii o odmiennej orientacji ideologicznej dwóch profili obcego (izolacyjnego i inkluzyjnego) ujawniających odmienne obrazy świata społecznego i odsłonięcie procesu budowania semantycznych uzasadnień odmiennych manifestacji behawioralnych wobec obcego. WNIOSKI, INNOWACJE, REKOMENDACJE: Przeprowadzona rekonstrukcja może być dla edukatorów ważnym wskazaniem do pracy nad sposobami artykułowania świata przez wychowanków, ponieważ poprzedzają one podejmowane przez nich działania.
