Celem artykułu jest znalezienie odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy utarte porównania czasownikowe podlegają procesowi nominalizacji opartej na wykorzystaniu środków słowotwórczych. Wcześniejsze ustalenia S. Bąby temu przeczyły. Materiał zgromadzony przez autorkę, przede wszystkim ze źródeł internetowych, potwierdza jednak, że współczesny język polski dopuszcza w coraz szerszym zakresie morfologiczną nominalizację frazeologicznychzwrotów porównawczych, np. siedzieć jak na rozżarzonych węglach → siedzenie jak na rozżarzonych węglach.

The aim of this article is to find the answer to the question whether common verb-based comparisons are subject to nominalisation based on the use of word-formation processes. Previous research done by professor Stanisław Bąba contradicted this. However, the material gathered primarily by the author from Internet resources confirms that in contemporary Polish morphological nominalisation is used in a broader range in case ofcomparisons, e.g. siedzieć jak na rozżarzonych węglach → siedzenie jak na rozżarzonych węglach ( to be like a cat on hot bricks → being like a cat on hot bricks).

Legal discourse is a combination of history, tradition, rules and forms. There are specificsyntactic structures and other features typical of legal discourse and having mortho-syntacticfeatures affecting the semantic content of messages. The rules of construction (or in other wordsinterpretation) of legal texts are often unclear and ambiguous for both lay persons and lawyers. The author focuses her attention on nominalisations in the langauge of statutory instruments. Theanalysis aims at showing typical features of nominalised structures in statutory instruments and the purpose of applying them.

Dyskurs prawniczy jest połączeniem historii, tradycji, reguł i form. Transkrypcja w praktyce prawnej uwarunkowana jest regułami pisania i odpowiednim wykorzystaniem wiedzy. Prowadzi to do nieprzejrzystości w stosowaniu reguł prawa nie tylko dla laika, lecz także dla środowiska prawniczego. Język prawa zawiera bowiem szczególne struktury syntaktyczne, jak również cechy wypowiadania, które są cechami morfo-syntaktycznymi ze skutkami semantycznymi. W niniejszym artykule spróbuję przedstawić analizę nominalizacji w języku prawa. Uczynię to w dwóch celach: po pierwsze, aby wyłonić właściwości nominalizacji tekstów normatywnych, a po drugie, aby zobaczyć jak konstrukcja taka wyraża się na planie znaczeniowym i czemu służy tym, którzy używają ją częściej niż inne inne środki.

Le discours juridique est à la fois un mélange d'histoire, de tradition, de règles et deformes. La transcription dans la pratique juridique est influencée par le respect des règles d'écriture et des usages acquis. Cela conduit à opacifier l'application des règles en matière de droit non seulement pour le profane, mais également pour la communauté juridique elle-même.La langue juridique présente des structures syntaxiques préférentielles, des marques d’énonciation qui sont des traits morphosyntaxiques à effets sémantiques. La présente communication se propose d’analyser la nominalisation dans cette langue dans un double but : d’une part, pour relever les particularités de la nominalisation des textes normatifs et, d’autre part, pour mettre en évidence à quoi correspond cette construction sur le plan des significations et en quoi elle sert les intérêts de ceux qui l'emploient de préférence à toute autre.

The paper discusses prepositional constructions used in contemporary acts of law. The analysis covers the primary (traditional) prepositions as well as the secondary ones. When taking their nominal complement, the latter category shows the realization of two kinds of nominalization process: of the complete (proper) nominalization, which has its overt exponent in the form of an action noun; and of the reduced nominalization, in which formal constrains prevent the overt realization of an action noun. The author discusses the grammatical non-personal functions related to the traditional and the secondary prepositions. The analysis does not cover spatial and temporal meanings of the prepositions. The author wants to establish to what extent the particular grammatical functions in legal acts are realized by the traditional prepositions, and to what extent by the secondary ones. She also explains how the particular functions and legal meanings can be influenced by the particular nominalization processes.

Japoński rzeczownik tsumori występuje w zdaniach jako tzw. rzeczownik formalny, będący konstytutywnym członem nominalizacji zdaniowej i komunikuje znaczenie zamiaru, intencji poprzez główny schemat (suru) tsumori da. Jego funkcje modalne wykazują silne związki z pragmatyką grzeczności językowej i manifestowaniem postaw w relacjach interpersonalnych. W artykule zostały zaprezentowane główne schematy składniowe i typowe funkcje semantyczne tego leksemu na tle konfrontatywnym z innymi językami.

The Japanese noun tsumori is used as the so-called formal noun and the head of syntactic nominalization. Its main meaning of ‘aim, intention’ is expressed through the basic sentence pattern of (suru) tsumori da. The modal meanings of this noun reveal close connections with the pragmatics of linguistic politeness and manifestation of attitudes in interpersonal communication. The article deals with the main sentential patterns and functions from the comparative perspective.

This article considers Jakub Banasiak’s book, published two years ago. Banasiak describes the nominalization processes in sentences expressing a causal relation drawing on material from the Polish and Bulgarian languages that are interesting for Bulgarists and Slavists. In addition to the examples presented in the monograph and their discussion, the theoretical considerations are noteworthy, and constitute a reminder and introduction to the practical part.

W książce Jakub Banasiak opisuje interesujące dla bułgarystów, i slawistów w ogóle, procesy nominalizacyjne w określonych zdaniach wyrażających relację przyczynowo-skutkową. Poza prezentowanymi w monografii przykładami oraz ich omówieniem warte uwagi są rozważania teoretyczne, będące niejako przypomnieniem i wprowadzeniem do części praktycznej.
