The paper presents the organizational structure of departments of political science in Polish universities that have the power to award PhD degree in political science: the number of employees and cathedrals (chairs), and a distribution of interests (fields) between the cathedrals. In a total of 17 departments surveyed (of 20 that have mentioned power) 1313 people works in 226 cathedrals. On average, in one department existing 13,3 cathedrals. Jagiellonian University and the University of Warsaw have the largest departments in terms of number of department employees. In more than half of the departments are cathedrals: political theory (political thought), international relations, political systems, public policy, history and European studies.

Restructuring actions taken against coal mining lead to changes in area of socio-economic life, affecting the state and prospects of development in country and in Silesia voivodeship. Institutions, methods and tools to monitor coal mining restructuring in the context of the socio-economic environment may indeed overtake and limit effects resulting from this process. On the basis of this thesis in this article were presented mission, programmatic objectives and structure of the Silesian Centre for Close Mining Changes Monitoring (- further CMZO).

The ongoing coal mining reform since 1991 is one of the basic social and economic challenges in Poland. In this context, this article presents research results aimed at, among others, opinions of local government units (- further JST) representatives on the need for creation of an independent expert institution which could monitor, diagnose and overtake the impact of effects of coal mining restructuring on environment. It was equally important obtain impact assessment of mining companies on municipalities / counties where they carry out activities.

Internal and organizational problems of the introduction of the performance management system by Ukrainian managers are identified and systematized. The directions are grounded and management means of their solution are reasoned. It is proved that managers of modern successful Ukrainian enterprises gradually introduce component elements of the performance management system.

Zidentyfikowane i usystematyzowane wewnątrzorganizacyjne problemy wprowadzenia systemu zarządzania wydajnością przez ukraińskich menedżerów. Uzasadnione kierunki i administracyjne środki ich rozwiązania. Udowodniono, że menedżerowie współczesnych udanych przedsiębiorstw ukraińskich stopniowo wprowadzają elementy składowe systemu zarządzania wydajnością organizacji.

Ідентифіковані та систематизовані внутрішньо – організаційні проблеми запровадження системи управління результативністю українськими менеджерами. Обґрунтовані напрями та аргументовані управлінські засоби їх розв’язання. Доведено, що менеджери сучасних успішних українських підприємств поступово впроваджують складові елементи системи управління результативністю організації.
