The author analyses Pope Francis' encyclical Fratelli tutti and shows how the ideas of fraternity and social friendship are close to an ecumenical attitude. The papal description of the contemporary crisis is consistent with sociological analyses: the experience of loneliness and uncertainty in social relations, the domination of the economic dimension of globalization and the transformation of social communication - these are the features of the current system, whose dysfunctionality was revealed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The implementation of the new idea proposed by Francis - the development of fraternity and social friendship - will be possible, among other things, by building a culture of encounter and the courage of dialogue that is practiced in the ecumenical movement.

Autor analizuje encyklikę Fratelli tutti papieża Franciszka i pokazuje, jak idee braterstwa i przyjaźni społecznej bliskie są postawie ekumenicznej. Papieski opis współczesnego kryzysu jest zgodny z analizami socjologicznymi: doświadczenie samotności i niepewności w relacjach społecznych, dominacja ekonomicznego wymiaru globalizacji i przemiany komunikacji społecznej – to cechy obecnego systemu, których dysfunkcjonalność ujawniła pandemia Covid-19. Realizacja nowej idei proponowanej przez Franciszka – rozwijania braterstwa i przyjaźni społecznej – będzie możliwa między innymi dzięki budowaniu kultury spotkania i odwagi dialogu, jakie praktykowane są w ruchu ekumenicznym.

The article presents an overview of the ideas of sustainable development and the social teachings of Pope Francis contained in the encyclical Fratelli tutti. A very important dimension of sustainable development assumptions is constructing a pattern of social life. It is about methods of action that will make it possible to solve social conflicts, especially in situations of social stratification. Pope Francis, in the encyclical Fratelli tutti, which talks about fraternity and social friendship, advocates for humanistic relations between people. Concerned about the human future, he proposes to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the message of universal brotherhood and social friendship, which will be the basis for building a human community and social order. The article draws attention to the necessity to combine efforts and cooperation to achieve the goals of humanistic development of humanity, i.e., sustainable change. The purpose of this article is to reflect on the idea of sustainable development in the context of the pope's social teaching. For if the diagnosis of the threats to the modern world, as well as the remedy for these threats in the form of education for sustainable development, to some extent coincide with the voice of the Church, this may mean a common field for action to improve the situation. There is a justified and urgent need for both theoretical references to crisis phenomena and tendencies, as well as real actions that will contribute to the elimination and elimination of disastrous processes for the social and natural environment of our planet. The time has come to cooperate in the field of education aimed at building universal brotherhood and social friendship in the world, which gives the opportunity to undertake the goals of sustainable development. Thanks to the cooperation of all people of good will, the goals of sustainable development come closer to specific people, becoming their own task to be performed. The idea of sustainable development gains an important ally in the form of educational support from Pope Francis and his vision of a world based on brotherhood and social friendship. It is a vision of the world referring to the duty of love for one's neighbor, care for the integral development of man and ultimately for his salvation. Certainly, any attempt to confront the idea of sustainable development with the social teaching of Pope Francis, included above all in the encyclical Fratelli tutti, will depend on the adopted worldview and vision of human and world development. However, what these two propositions have in common is concern for the welfare of mankind and our planet.

W artykule przedstawione zostały w ogólnym zarysie idee zrównoważonego rozwoju i społeczne nauczanie papieża Franciszka zawarte w encyklice Fratelli tutti. Bardzo ważnym wymiarem założeń zrównoważonego rozwoju jest konstruowanie wzorca życia społecznego. Chodzi tu o takie sposoby działań, które będą umożliwiały rozwiązywanie konfliktów społecznych, zwłaszcza w sytuacjach rozwarstwiania się społeczeństwa. Papież Franciszek w encyklice Fratelli tutti, która mówi o braterstwie i przyjaźni społecznej, upomina się o humanistyczne relacje między ludźmi. Zaniepokojony o przyszłość człowieka proponuje skorzystanie z możliwości, jakie niesie przesłanie powszechnego braterstwa i przyjaźni społecznej, które będzie podstawą w budowaniu wspólnoty ludzkiej i ładu społecznego. Artykuł zwraca uwagę na konieczność połączenia wysiłków i współpracy na rzecz realizacji celów humanistycznego rozwoju ludzkości, czyli na zrównoważoną zmianę. Celem tego artykułu jest refleksja nad ideą zrównoważonego rozwoju w kontekście społecznego nauczania papieża. Jeśli bowiem diagnoza zagrożeń współczesnego świata, jak również remedium na te zagrożenia w postaci edukacji dla zrównoważonego rozwoju są w jakiejś mierze zbieżne z głosem Kościoła, oznaczać to może wspólne pole do działania na rzecz poprawy sytuacji. Istnieje uzasadniona i pilna potrzeba zarówno teoretycznych odniesień do kryzysowych zjawisk i tendencji, jak i realnych działań, które przyczynią się do eliminowania i niwelowania zgubnych procesów dla środowiska społecznego oraz przyrodniczego naszej planety. Nadszedł czas współdziałania na płaszczyźnie edukacji zmierzającej do budowania na świecie powszechnego braterstwa i przyjaźni społecznej, która daje możliwość podejmowania celów zrównoważonego rozwoju. Dzięki współpracy wszystkich ludzi dobrej woli cele zrównoważonego rozwoju przybliżają się do konkretnych ludzi, stając się ich własnym zadaniem do wykonania. Idea zrównoważonego rozwoju zyskuje ważnego sojusznika w postaci edukacyjnego wsparcia ze strony papieża Franciszka i jego wizji świata opartego na braterstwie i przyjaźni społecznej. Jest to wizja świata odwołująca się do obowiązku miłości bliźniego, troski o integralny rozwój człowieka i ostatecznie o jego zbawienie. Z pewnością każda próba konfrontowania idei zrównoważonego rozwoju z nauczaniem społecznym papieża Franciszka, zawartym przede wszystkim w encyklice Fratelli tutti, będzie zależała od przyjmowanego światopoglądu oraz wizji rozwoju człowieka i świata. Tym, co łączy te dwie propozycje, jest jednak zatroskanie o dobro ludzkości i naszej planety.

Encyklika Fratelli tutti papieża Franciszka zarysowuje koncepcję braterstwa i przyjaźni społecznej, jakie kierują się w stronę człowieka osadzonego w wyzwaniach współczesności. Jej podstawowym celem jest, jak zawsze w nauczaniu papieskim, odkrywanie aktualności i głębi przesłania ewangelicznego w kontekście zmian społeczno-politycznych – czy szerzej: religijnokulturowych, jakie współcześnie się dokonują. Tym bardziej rośnie potrzeba właściwego zrozumienia propozycji przedstawionych przez papieża, a dotyczących źródeł postawy braterstwa oraz sposobów realizacji miłości chrześcijańskiej w codziennym życiu. Skierowanie uwagi odbiorców na ewangeliczną przypowieść o miłosiernym Samarytaninie ma pomóc w budzeniu wrażliwości na obecność bliźnich oraz w powrocie na drogę do budowania jedności i solidarności w Kościele i świecie.

The encyclical Fratelli tutti of Pope Francis outlines the concept of fraternity and social friendship, which are directed towards a man embedded in the challenges of our times. Its primary goal is, as always in the papal teaching, to discover the relevance and depth of the Gospel message in the context of socio-political or, more broadly, religious and cultural changes that we are undergoing. All the more, there is a growing need for a proper understanding of the proposals presented by the Pope regarding the sources of the attitude of brotherhood and the ways of implementing Christian love in everyday life. Directing the audience’s attention to the evangelical parable of the Good Samaritan is to help awaken sensitivity to the presence of others and return to the path of building unity and solidarity in the Church and in the world.

In the light of the post-synodal exhortation Amoris Laetitia, this article studies « the gospel of the family « and the importance of family relationships in social life. Today, there is an « omnipresent need for a healthy injection of family spirit » (AL 183). The encyclical Fratelli tutti takes up this need and invites all to promote fraternity and social friendship in our globalized society, that « makes us neighbors but does not make us brothers. « This articleasserts that the family is fundamental in the development of our four fundamental relationships (1st part) and in education (2nd part). Furthermore, the family introduces fraternity into the world (3rd part) and it is the principal agent of integral ecology (4th part).

Przedłożony artykuł analizuje „ewangelię rodziny” i znaczenie relacji rodzinnych w życiu społecznym w świetle posynodalnej adhortacji Amoris Laetitia. Zauważa ona, że istnieje dziś „wszechobecna potrzeba zdrowego zastrzyku ducha rodzinnego” (AL 183). Encyklika Fratelli tutti zwraca uwagę na tę potrzebę i wzywa do promowania braterstwa i przyjaźni społecznej w naszym zglobalizowanym społeczeństwie, które „czyni nas sąsiadami, ale nie braćmi”. Artykuł potwierdza, że rodzina ma fundamentalne znaczenie w rozwoju naszych czterech podstawowych relacji (część 1) oraz w wychowaniu (część 2). Ponadto rodzina wprowadza w świat braterstwo (cz. 3) i jest głównym czynnikiem ekologii integralnej (cz. 4).

A la lumière de l’exhortation post-synodale Amoris Laetitia, cet article étudie “ l’évangile de la famille “ et l’importance des relations familiales dans la vie sociale. Aujourd’hui, il y a un “ besoin omniprésent d’une saine injection d’esprit de famille “ (AL 183). L’encyclique Fratelli tutti reprend ce besoin et invite à promouvoir la fraternité et l’amitié sociale dans notre société mondialisée, qui „fait de nous des voisins mais pas des frères”. “Cet article affirme que la famille est fondamentale dans le développement de nos quatre relations fondamentales (1ère partie) et dans l’éducation (2ème partie). De plus, la famille introduit la fraternité dans le monde (3ème partie) et elle est l’agent principal de l’écologie intégrale (4ème partie).
