"Elementa Pverilis Institutionis" (Kraków 1692) – przyczynek do historii elementarzy polskich

The article contains a description of a not recorded in the bibliography Polish-Latin elementary textbook Elementa Pverilis Institutionis (Cracow: Albrecht Górecki, 1692) from Russian State Archives of Ancient Documents (Moscow, Russia). The given edition marked the beginning of a line of primers, which survived until the twentieth century (ca. 44 editions). The specific features of the given line is bilingualism of all editions, laconic grammar part and extended part containing the religious texts. A comparison of the original version with subsequent editions of the primer (Cracow 1713, 1736, 1796 and Pochaiv s.a.) indicates multiple editing of the manual and enlargement of its religious content (new prayers and a catechism in the questions and answers form). An assumption is made that bilingual primer Elementaria institutio Latini sermonis, et pietatis Christianae (Cracow: Maciej Wirzbięta, 1575) could serve as a sample for Elementa 1692.

Artykuł zawiera opis unikatowego polsko-łacińskiego podręcznika elementarnego Elementa Pverilis Institutionis (Kraków: Albrecht Górecki, 1692) ze zbiorów Rosyjskiego Państwowego Archiwum Akt Dawnych w Moskwie. Wydanie z 1692 roku zapoczątkowało linię elementarzy, która przetrwała do XX stulecia (ok. 44 edycji). Dwujęzyczność wszystkich wydań, lakoniczność części elementarzo wej i rozbudowana część zawierająca teksty o treści religijnej stanowią cechy specyficzne danej linii. Porównanie wersji pierwotnej z późniejszymi edycjami podręcznika (Kraków 1713, 1736, 1796 i Poczajów s.a.) świadczy o wielokrotnym redagowaniu elementarza i o rozszerzeniu jego treści religijnej (nowe modlitwy i katechizm w formie pytań i odpowiedzi). Do ewentualnych wzorców, do których sięgali wydawcy jego wersji z 1692 roku, zalicza się dwujęzyczny podręcznik Elementaria institutio Latini sermonis,et pietatis Christianae (Kraków: Maciej Wirzbięta, 1575).
