The article presents aspects of family socializing in terms of evolving models of family life. The changes involve interrelations within the family, consequently its mutual understanding is far from what it used to be. It is the result of, inter alia, the growing number of divorce and separation, the number of single parents raising children, matrimonial decision postponement, restraining from procreation or deciding not to have children, the increase of one person households or informal relationships rising popularity.

This article reports data drawn from a survey of students’ views about their future teacher role. The students were recruited from adapted physical education specialization provided by the University School of Physical Education. The data are used to construct four types of role of adapted physical education teachers. The typology of role which has implications for the range and type of professional development opportunities which might be made available to teachers. The findings show that the majority of students found a holistic type as the most appropriate and they chose the type of teaching which took them closer to the person. As part of the study the authors have independently developed the Model of Roles of APE Teachers (APEROLE) over seven years of teaching practice.

Unequal access to formal employment, decision-making power and social prestige can lead to vulnerabilities and social exclusion especially in rural areas. Feminist researchers and advocates for women assert that the preservation of agriculture, family farming and diverse rural culture in particular depend on the empowerment and participation of women (Hoff 1992, p. 79). In this paper, I attempt to evaluate rural/farm women's position and the extent of their vulnerability and social exclusion in an area of Slavonia in the eastern part of Croatia. Specifically, I use interview and fieldwork data to identify and elaborate their roles, participation in decision-making, and the obstacles/constraints that rural women face in these rural communities to evaluate the extent of their contribution to rural development. Further, it is my intention to explore if rural women represent an untapped resource in rural spaces that would contribute to rural development and raise the quality of life in these areas.

Aim. The research aim is to present the most common games citizens play, a description of the main game theses and roles, psychological gains and rewards, paradigms of relations between the citizen and the state, which determine the emergence of the game, as well as opportunities to quit the game. Methods. To achieve the goal, a system of general scientific methods was used: analysis and generalisation of the main provisions of source studies regarding citizenship and the social role of the citizen, systematisation and generalisation of scientific provisions about games, as well as methodological provisions of Berne's transactional analysis. Results. 43% of Ukrainian citizens engage in "game" interaction with the state. The most common games citizens play are: "Persecution" ("The state oppresses me"), "Offended" ("If it wasn’t for this state…"), "Parasite" ("The state owes me and should keep me"), "Patriot" ("Only I love Ukraine, all others are traitors"), "Exemplary citizen" ("I perform my civic duties better than anyone"). Conclusions. Implementation of the role of a Citizen can lead to both constructive relations with the state and surrogate relations, which lead to various psychological games-manipulations. The developed system of psychological consulting practices for the prevention of civic identity "game" deformations can be used in the process of psychological support of civic identity formation in the development of complex training, and corrective activities, as well as in the educational process when creating programs of civic education and the development of civic competencies.

The family is supposed to give the child a sense of security, belonging, acceptance and love.1 If, however, instead of these pleasant experiences, the most prevalent atmosphere is that of, abuse, trauma, violence, horror and fear, the child will not feel safe, accepted and loved. Even worse, later in life, he will unconsciously search for situations that will awaken in him, and re-create that primary atmosphere and underlying affects, because in his intrapsychic world, they equal belonging and familiarity. Clinical experience and research show that incest is one of the severest traumas caused to the human psyche and body. In the paper, we will first present the definition, prevalence and discuss factors such as the duration of the incest and the age of victims and perpetrators. Then, we will describe the relations, roles and dynamics within incestuous families, where the child finds himself with his own pain among people who should be trustworthy, who should give safety and a sense of being loved, but instead they abuse the child, violating all the boundaries, taking away one’s dignity and killing the soul.

The subject of political leadership of the EU appears in discussions of experts not only in the context of internal and external problems of the Union, but the current and future shape of the political system as well. Recent events, including in particular the economic crisis, revealed once again the most serious problems of the political system of the EU – the lack of a clear system of institutions and leadership. It seems that the most appropriate definition of leadership in the context of united Europe complexity is a centre that determines the vision and mission of the organization, creates its objectives, as well as bears the responsibility for implementing the strategy and making changes in the organization. The basic aim of this study is to find answers to questions concerning the possibility of mapping out a centre for the political leadership of the European Union.

This paper contends that major foreign policy shifts of the Bolsonaro government, which led to a redefinition of Brazil’s foreign policy narrative and international roles, triggered tensions in Sino-Brazilian relations. The main theme of Brazil’s recent troubled partnership with China is explored by scrutinizing ideational underpinnings of Brazil’s foreign policy. Therefore, emphasis is placed on the modifications of discursive self-articulation implemented by the country’s foreign policy elites with a particular focus on a new understanding of the West and Brazil’s western sense of belonging. A redefined self-conception, resulting in the embracement of the roles of a faithful ally of the United States and defender of the faith has not failed to impact Brazil’s cooperation with the challenger of the liberal world order, China. The analysis of Brazil’s recent external activism is anchored in role theory and builds on a constructivist approach to foreign policy analysis (FPA).

The Albanian regional governance system is based on both decentralization and deconcentration, each of them aiming at bringing services close to the public. To make the multilevel governance system work, the prefect is a keystone of public administration at the regional level. The paper is an analytical study case on the prefect’s institution in Albania, focusing on the challenges that prefects face, particularly related to their functions in supervising local government units. We decided to adopt a problem-oriented approach. Instead of a comprehensive picture of prefects, we focus on identifying concrete challenges as they are perceived by different stakeholders, analyzing their causes and proposing concrete measures that can address both. More concretely, the analysis looked at various dimensions of the prefect system, from a systemic perspective, based on the assumption that the prefects’ performance depends not only on the legal framework and norms, but even more on adequate institutional set-up, procedures and relations, and behaviour and capacities of stakeholders. The prefects are acting in a political and administrative system which is subject to change. If policy decisions are taken to change the overall system (for example, by giving the central state or the municipalities more power and responsibilities), the prefects’ legal roles and responsibilities, procedures and capacity requirements will have to be adapted accordingly. However, we leave it to the competent political bodies to reflect and decide on changes to the overall system.
