The era of advanced technology claims a different individual. The individual that would undisturbed function in the era of digitalization and would better perceive and protect our environment with the help of accomplishments and benefits of advanced information and communication technology (ICT). There is no better time for learning and concretization of these values as in school. Nowadays pupils, the pupils of digital era, are more and more experienced in the usage of contemporary media and networks. That is why they require the modification of conditions and teachers' role in the school. Will new information and multimedia or hypermedia support for classrooms and new didactical ideas improve learning results, and stimulate innovation and greater pleasure towards learning and knowledge? All these questions will be answered in our contribution.

The article raises the issue of the school of the future, which as a result of civilizational changes, will be changing entering into more formal relations with the surroundings especially with cultural institutions, organizations and entrepreneurial sphere. In the author’s opinion, which is also based on fragmentary studies in the educational process of the future, the traditional school (building and all activity inside – educational factory) will be only one of many equal segments of the educational process. In his view, cultural institutions should become the partners (elements) of the first degree education. This issue, however, requires plentiful of research and a broad social discourse. Therefore, the author’s intention is to raise the issue, which in the future may prove to be very important in the educational process.

W artykule podjęto zagadnienie dotyczące szkoły przyszłości, która wskutek przemian cywilizacyjnych będzie zmieniać się, wchodząc w coraz bardziej formalne relacje z otoczeniem, a zwłaszcza z instytucjami kultury, organizacjami i sferą przedsiębiorczości gospodarczej. W przekonaniu autora, wyrosłym także z fragmentarycznych badań, w procesie edukacyjnym przyszłości, tradycyjna szkoła (budynek i wszystko, co się w nim dzieje – fabryka edukacyjna) stanie się tylko jednym z wielu równoprawnych segmentów procesu edukacyjnego. Jego zdaniem, partnerami (elementami) pierwszego stopnia w edukacji mogą stać się instytucje kultury. Zagadnienie to jednak wymaga wielu badań i wieloaspektowego dyskursu społecznego. Dlatego intencją autora jest wywołanie zagadnienia, które w przyszłości może okazać się ważne w procesie edukacyjnym.
