W artykule opisano możliwości wykorzystania technologii wspomagających w pracy z osobami ze specyficznymi trudnościami w uczeniu się. Przybliżono urządzenia i narzędzia ułatwiające rozwój, naukę i codzienne życie dzieci i młodzieży z tym zaburzeniem. Wymieniono dostępne na rynku edukacyjnym programy komputerowe rozwijające funkcje percepcyjno-motoryczne i doskonalące czytanie, pisanie i umiejętności matematyczne. Wzięto tu pod uwagę zarówno dzieci młodsze, jak i uczniów klas starszych. Wskazano korzyści płynące ze stosowania technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych w edukacji i terapii trudności w uczeniu się.

The article describes the possibilities of using technologies supporting work with persons with specific learning disabilities. It identifies the equipment and tools facilitating development, learning and daily lives of children and youths with that disorder. It also outlines computer software which helps develop perceptive and motor functions and improve reading, writing and mathematical skills. Younger children as well as senior class pupils are taken into account in this case. The article also describes the benefits of using information and communication technologies in education and therapies dealing with learning disabilities.

Sposób powstawania i funkcjonowania informacji wizualnej jest zjawiskiem do końca niepoznanym. W badaniach nad weryfikacją procesów wzrokowych dzieci ze specyficznymi trudnościami w uczeniu się i ich rówieśników bez tego zaburzenia wykorzystano technikę eye trackingu. W technice tej zawarty jest pierwiastek obiektywny umożliwiający analizę danych o położeniu i ruchach gałek ocznych. Uzyskane dane percepcyjne są niezależne od pamięci i nastroju badanej osoby. W artykule zaprezentowano analizę weryfikacyjną postrzegania przez badane dzieci obrazu pt. Rodzina. Tekst stanowi kontynuację opublikowanego w niniejszym czasopiśmie wprowadzenia dotyczącego procesów wzrokowych u osób ze specyficznymi trudnościami w uczeniu się.

The method of creating and functioning of visual information is a phenomenon that has not been fully explored. An eye-tracking technique was used in the verification studies of visual pro-cesses in children with specific learning disabilities and their peers without that disorder. This technique contains an objective element which makes it possible to analyse data about the position and movement of the eyeballs. The obtained perceptive data are independent of the memory and mood of the person being studied. The article presents a verification analysis of how children perceive images called Family. The text constitutes a continuation of an introduction published in this magazine concerning the visual processes in children with specific learning disabilities.

Trudności w uczeniu się są ciągle nierozwiązaną zagadką, fascynującym, otwartym obszarem eksploracji. W artykule zamieszczono podstawowe informacje na ich temat – rozważania terminologiczne, przyczyny i symptomy. Odwołano się do najnowszych klasyfikacji medycznych. W dalszej części przedstawiono doniesienia badawcze dotyczące procesów wzrokowych u osób z dysleksją. Duża różnorodność rozpoznawanych u nich deficytów wzrokowych i różnice w ich wyjaśnianiu powodują, iż w teoriach brakuje dokładnej informacji, w jaki sposób deficyty wzrokowe powodują trudności dyslektyczne. W tekście zaprezentowano najbardziej obiecujące koncepcje na ten temat. Artykuł stanowi wprowadzenie do opisanych w dalszej części czasopisma eye trackingowych badań weryfikacyjnych procesów wzrokowych u dzieci ze specyficznymi trudnościami w uczeniu się.

Learning disabilities are still an unsolved mystery, fascinating and open area of exploration. The article contains basic information about them – terminological deliberations, causes and symptoms. References to the latest medical classifications are made. Research information concerning visual processes in persons with dyslexia is presented further in the article. Large diversity of visual deficits recognized in them and differences in explaining them cause that theories lack precise information on how visual deficits cause dyslexic disabilities. The most promising concepts concerning this subject matter are presented in the text. The article constitutes an introduction to eye-tracking verification studies of visual processes in children with specific learning disabilities described further down in the magazine.
