Artykuł odnosi się do wyników badań osób powyżej 50. r. ż. angażujących się w zorganizowaną (instytucjonalnie) aktywność kulturalną, pozyskanych w ramach projektu Inicjatywy z udziałem osób 50+ a rozwój kapitału społecznego w woj. lubuskim – diagnoza i ewaluacja”. Na jego użytek wykorzystano wtórnie część materiału empirycznego, a mianowicie materiał wywiadów indywidualnych z niepracującymi już zawodowo uczestniczkami wybranych form zajęć. Celem analizy było zrekonstruowanie sposobu, w jaki kobiety 50+ doświadczają swojej aktywności kulturalnej. Postawione pytanie ma charakter fenomenologiczny. Fenomenologię bowiem interesuje, jak świat jawi się ludziom i proponuje koncentrowanie się na tym, jak go przeżywają i rozumieją. Wstępne ustalenia teoretyczne zostały ograniczone, by rekonstruując subiektywne sensy nadawane doświadczeniom przez kobiety 50+, nie zawłaszczać ich świata znaczeń. Jednakże założeniem artykułu było także przekroczenie indywidualnej perspektywy i (do)interpretowanie zrekonstruowanych sensów w określonym kontekście teoretycznym. W tym celu wykorzystano koncepcję małych światów przeżywanych i edukacyjną koncepcję emancypacji. W artykule zaprezentowano wyłonione w wyniku analizy dwa podstawowe typy doświadczania aktywności kulturalnej przez kobiety 50+: „zawsze byłam aktywna” i „nadszedł czas dla mnie”.

The paper refers to the results of those over 50 years old engaged in institutionally organized cultural activity acquired within the project Initiative with the participation of the 50+ and the development of social capital in the Lubuskie province - diagnosis and evaluation. For the purposes of the paper part of the empirical material was re-used, namely material from the interviews with the already professionally inactive women. The objective of the analysis is to reconstruct the way in which the interviewed women experience their cultural activity. It is a phenomenological issue, since phenomenology is in fact interested in how the world appears to the people. The base of the research is A. Schütz's phenomenology, offering to focus on how the people experience and understand the world. Therefore preliminary theoretical findings were limited while reconstructing subjective meanings given to the experience in order not to appropriate the world of meaning the women assign to their experience. However, the premise of the paper is also to exceed the individual perspective and to interpret reconstructed meanings of their experience in a specific theoretical context. The emancipating educational theory and the small life-worlds concept were used for this purpose. As a result of the analysis two basic types in which the women over 50 experience their cultural activity: "I was always active" and "it's time for me" will be discussed in the paper.
