Autor uważa, że gatunkowe zróżnicowanie znaczenia słów w folklorze jest zjawiskiem wcale nie rzadkim. Pomimo różnorodności tekstów dadzą się zaobserwować ogólniejsze tendencje: (1) różnice jakościowe mają zakorzenienie w zróżnicowanej gatunkowo frekwencji i dystrybucji wyrazu; (2) w folklorze na gatunkową relatywizację znaczenia silniej oddziałują pragmatyczne wyznaczniki gatunku, jak: stabilizacja sytuacji wykonania tekstu, konwencjonalny wykonawca oraz konteksty pozawerbalne itd.; (3) poszczególne gatunki ujawniają również swoje wewnętrzne zróżnicowanie, co jest szczególnie charakterystyczne dla przysłów różnorodnych tematycznie; (4) znaczne różnice gatunkowe dotyczą aksjologizacji języka; (5) charakterystycznym zjawiskiem dla pieśni ludowych jest specjalna semantyczna poetyzacja i melizacja słownictwa.

The author believes that the genre-specific diversity of meanings of words in folklore is not an uncommon phenomenon. Despite the diversity of texts, more general tendencies can be observed: (1) qualitative differences are rooted in the genre-diversified frequency and distribution of a word; (2) in folklore, the genre relativization of the meaning is much more strongly influenced by pragmatic determinants of a genre, such as: the stability of the situation in the context of text production, a conventional performer/ speaker and non-verbal contexts, and so on; (3) individual genres also display their internal diversity, which is especially characteristic of thematically varied proverbs; (4) substantial differences in terms of the genre concern the axiologization of language; (5) specific semantic poetization and amelioration of vocabulary is a phenomenon characteristic of folk songs.
