Celem artykułu jest prezentacja modelu kompetencji komunikacyjnych. Jest on wstępem do opracowania szczegółowych rozwiązań w zakresie diagnozowania oraz wspomagania rozwoju kompetencji komunikacyjnych osób z głębszą niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Prezentowany model określony został na pięciu poziomach: teoretycznym, rozwojowym, diagnostycznym, wsparcia/terapeutycznym, ewaluacyjnym. W artykule zaprezentowany został wyłącznie ogólny model kompetencji komunikacyjnych. Szczegółowe aspekty tego modelu będą przedmiotem odrębnych publikacji.

The article aims to present a model of communication competence. It constitutes an introduction to the development of detailed solutions in the area of diagnosing and supporting the development of communication competence in people with profound intellectual disabilities. The model was defined on five levels: a theoretical level, a developmental level, a diagnostic level, a support/therapeutic level, and an evaluation level. The article presents a general model of communication competence only. Its detailed features will be the subject of separate publications.

Kwestionariusz oceny sposobów komunikacji osób z głębszą niepełnosprawnością intelektualną został opracowany na potrzeby badań kompetencji komunikacyjnych osób z umiarkowaną, znaczą lub głęboką niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja podstaw teoretycznych, założeń konstrukcyjnych oraz wyników oceny psychometrycznej kwestionariusza do badania sposobów komunikacji osób z głębszą niepełnosprawnością intelektualną (KOSK). Proponowana technika diagnostyczna ocenia sposoby komunikacji, a wynika z modelu kompetencji komunikacyjnych osób z głębszą niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Oceny psychometrycznej KOSK dokonano na podstawie badań przeprowadzonych na populacji osób dorosłych z głębszą niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Badania przeprowadzone zostały w okresie marzec – maj 2010 r., głównie w palcówkach prowadzonych przez Polskie Stowarzyszenie na rzecz Osób z Upośledzeniem Umysłowym.

The Questionnaire for the Assessment of Communication Methods Used by People with Profound Intellectual Disabilities was designed in order to examine communication competence of people with moderate, severe or profound intellectual disabilities. The article aims to present the theoretical basis, structural assumptions and findings of the psychometric evaluation of The Questionnaire for the Assessment of Communication Methods Used by People with Profound Intellectual Disabilties (KOSK). This diagnostic technique assesses communication methods, and it results from the model of communication competence of people with profound intellectual disabilities. The psychometric evaluation of the questionnaire was carried out based on the study conducted on the population of adults with profound intellectual disabilities. The study was conducted from March to May 2010 mainly in the centers run by The Polish Association for the Welfare of People with Mental Disabilities.

Prayer is one of the most essential expression of the cult existing in every religion. On account of differences taking place in individual religions, and also historical, geografical and cultural conditionings, the prayer donned different forms and means of expression. In this article there have been featured the analogies between prayer in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The Israel’s prayer resulted from the fact of affiliation with jewish nation with which the God transacted the covenant. Perpetuating the conditions of this covenant constituted the guarantee for the believing human being that his prayer will be listened. The Christian prayer’s property is it’s giving direction to a person and Christ’s saving work; His mediation constitutes the guarantee of effectiveness therefore. Prayer in Islam constitutes one of the five pillars, meaning elementary obligations, which abiding is the condition of the salvation. In spite of the differences taking place in above-mentioned religions their common feature is taking a dialogue between man and the God and also the belief that requests directed to Him will be listened.

Modlitwa jest jednym z najistotniejszych przejawów kultu obecnym w każdej religii. Ze względu na różnice występujące w poszczególnych religiach, a także uwarunkowania historyczne, geograficzne i kulturowe, modlitwa przybierała różnorodne formy i środki wyrazu. W niniejszym artykule zostały ukazane analogie pomiędzy modlitwą w judaizmie, chrześcijaństwie i islamie. Modlitwa Izraela wynikała z faktu przynależności do narodu żydowskiego, z którym Bóg zawarł przymierze. Zachowanie warunków owego przymierza stanowiło w przekonaniu człowieka wierzącego gwarancję, że jego modlitwa zostanie wysłuchana. Właściwością modlitwy chrześcijańskiej jest jej ukierunkowanie na osobę i zbawcze dzieło Chrystusa; Jego pośrednictwo stanowi zatem gwarancję skuteczności. Modlitwa w islamie stanowi jeden z pięciu filarów, tzn. podstawowych obowiązków, których przestrzeganie jest warunkiem zbawienia. Pomimo różnic występujących w wyżej omawianych religiach ich wspólną cechą jest podejmowanie dialogu człowieka z Bogiem i przekonanie, że prośby skierowane do Niego zostaną wysłuchane.

Through music people can fully express their feelings and emotions, even the ones of religious nature. Therefore, music is an inseparable part of the liturgy in the Christian Church. The music used during religious ceremonies is aimed at praising God and blessing the faithful. This goal will be accomplished only when the rules referring to sacred music are followed. These rules are found in the documents formed by the Church legislation. The Letter to Artists by St. John Paul II plays the vital role among the regulations. It can be treated as a kind of invitation sent to all people of art, so music as well, to join in the dialogue with the Church. The following article presents the tasks given authors and performers of worship music by the Church, in the context of the message conveyed in the Letter to Artists. Pope writes about their responsibility. At the same time he expresses a wish as far as the beauty they create is concerned. Namely, he wants that beauty to evoke admiration among the next generations.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.14746/ikps.2019.26.12 Everyone has the right to participate in society, regardless of his or her current personal situation, level of psychosocial functioning or experience. No reason can justify marginalisation or exclusion of people from social life at any stage of their lives. The aim of the article is an attempt to characterise the adulthood of people with profound intellectual disabilities on the basis of subjective assessment of their mothers. The methodology applied was that of a qualitative research, where the main research technique was narrative interviews. The results of the research demonstrate that adulthood is the stage of life when people with profound intellectual disabilities and their caregivers require special support in mental, spiritual, social, societal and educational dimensions.
