This article offers a comparative componential analysis of 'anthropolexemes' in Russian and English youth slang. An 'anthropolexeme' is a primarily anthropocentrically oriented unit, characterising or evaluating a person according to his/her physical characteristics, character, behavioural peculiarities, abilities and inclinations, social functions, etc. In the first part of the article, we consider 'anthropolexemes' with negative evaluative modalities (derogatives). Another group of 'anthropolexemes' in youth slang consists of lexical units with a positive meaning component (melioratives), which usually reflects the speaker's personal, emotional attitude towards the subject. In the second part of the article, we discuss the anthropolexemes in the semantic field relating to gender. One can conclude that the male gender and their type of worldview plays a central role in Russian and English youth slang. A discourse with such a worldview is called androcentric. The semantic analysis of the units of this thematic group in Russian and English youth slang has shown a number of similarities, dominated by the general attitude (mostly superficial) to human personality. Asymmetry is observed among the derogatives and melioratives of the youth language; this asymmetry can be partially defined as axiological.
