The article is talking about the upbringing function of catechesis in the teaching of religion, implemented in the form of home education. During research on this form of teaching, the problems of terminology related to the precise determination of its status were approximated. A brief historical outline allows a more accurate understanding of the roots of home education in the light of law and pedagogy. In addition, the motives of parents were outlined, through which they decide to choose this form of teaching. Among the most common are two main types: school criticism and different pedagogical ideas. The last point of the article is a juxtaposition of the upbringing function of catechesis and upbringing to values. The article has been enriched with the guidelines of the Committee on Education of the Polish Episcopal Conference.

L’articolo tratta della funzione educativa della catechesi nell’insegnamento della religione, attuata sotto forma di educazione domestica. Durante la ricerca dedicata a questa forma di insegnamento, sono stati sisemati i problemi della terminologia. Un breve concetto storico mostra una comprensione delle radici dell’educazione domestica; Tutto alla luce della legge e della pedagogia. In oltre, sono state delineate le motivazioni dei genitori, che permettono di scegliere questa forma di insegnamento. Tra i più comuni ci sono due tipi principali: critica di sistema scolastico e diverse idee pedagogiche. L’ultimo punto dell’articolo è una giusta posizione della funzione educativa della catechesi e dell’educazione al valore.

Artykuł traktuje o wychowawczej funkcji katechezy w ramach nauczania religii, realizowanej w formie edukacji domowej. Podczas badań nad tą formą nauczania przybliżone zostały problemy terminologiczne związane z dokładnym określeniem jej statusu. Krótki zarys historyczny pozwala na dokładniejsze zrozumienie korzeni edukacji domowej w świetle prawa oraz pedagogiki. Ponadto nakreślone zostały motywy rodziców, przez które decydują oni o wybraniu tej formy nauczania. Wśród najczęściej przekazywanych są dwa główne rodzaje: krytyka szkoły oraz odmienne idee pedagogiczne. Ostatni punkt artykułu to zestawienie ze sobą wychowawczej funkcji katechezy i wychowania do wartości. Artykuł został wzbogacony o wytyczne Komisji Wychowania Katolickiego Konferencji Episkopatu Polski.
