W artykule zaprezentowane zostały wyniki badań, które dotyczyły samooceny uczniów w zakresie korzystania z narzędzi technologii informacyjnej. Uzyskane wyniki badań dowiodły, że badani uczniowie są świadomi dobrodziejstw współczesnej techniki i umiejętnie z nich korzystają. Widoczny jest wzrost umiejętności w deklaracjach badanych w zależności od wieku uczniów.

The paper presents the results of the research concerning students' selfesteem as far as the use of information technology tools is concerned. The results proved that the students are aware of the benefits of modern technology and that they use them skillfully An increase in. skills is visible in the declarations of respondents, depending on the age of the students.

W pracy przedstawione zostały zadania nauczyciela w kontekście kształcenia uczniów, którzy są aktywnymi członkami społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Scharakteryzowany został również proces kształcenia uczniów na miarę „nowych czasów”. Ponadto poruszone zostało zagadnienie dotyczące sposobów motywowania uczniów do nauki. Przybliżone zostały także czynniki, które umożliwiają odniesienie sukcesu edukacyjnego.

The paper presents the tasks of the teacher in the context of students’ education paying attention to the fact that those students are also members of the information society. The paper describes the process of education up to modern standards. Moreover, the work raises the issues concerning the ways of motivating students to learn. Furthermore, the paper outlines the factors that enable achieving educational success.
