The performance of marketing activities in non-profit organizations and indications which tools are particularly relevant here – are made in the article. Also, the advantages and difficulties in applying the marketing activities of third sector organizations are pointed out. Deliberations were being exemplified with description of using the marketing composition in the youth education organization (The Scouting Association of the Republic of Poland).
The article attempts to identify the relevance of psychological knowledge in the manager's work. Analysing the departments (sections) of this science, the achievements of psychology of management and organization are underlined, as well as growing significance of the positive psychology in the last decade. This trend is the base of POS - Positive Organizational Scholarship, emerging as both hope and doubts. Exploitation of this knowledge is an essential component of interpersonal manager’s skills.
NGO cooperation with local government units evolved into unique stage when the Act of Law of April 24th 2003 on Public Benefit and Volunteer Work and its amendments of 2010 came into force. However, there are important discrepancies while introducing the rules determined in the Act. Therefore, the need for further standardizations in this cooperation has emerged. The conceptual model NGO – LGU cooperation described in this article seems to be an interesting and promising solution. A critical review of this model and its applicability and framework is furthermore presented.
An analysis of the causes of development of social responsibility is conducted in the article. The CRS idea has been started in business but is also useful in the field of public administration. Polish and international examples of implementation as well as the problems and benefits of this concept were presented in the article. Additionally the system supporting the management of social responsibility in business by public authorities in Poland was discussed.

Stąd pytanie: Czy kolej w dzisiejszym polskim wydaniu ma szansę przezwyciężyć napierające alternatywne środki komunikacji? W artykule przedstawiono sytuację kolei po zmianach z 2001r. oraz podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie czy na rynku kolejowym w Polsce mamy do czynienia ze zdrową konkurencją czy z monopolizacją? W podsumowaniu wskazano na działania, które zaplanowano celem poprawy sytuacji polskiego kolejnictwa.
W artykule dokonano analizy istoty i zasad strategii współpracy organizacji pozarządowych z administracją publiczną wskazując jednocześnie na przydatność modelu współpracy międzysektorowej. Istotne jest, by obie strony realizowały strategię współpracy nie zapominając o przestrzeganiu opisanych w modelu zasad.

The author of this article makes an attempt to analyze the nature and principles of cooperation between NGOs and public administration. The usefulness of this cross-sectoral model of cooperation was pointed out. It is important that both parties implement the strategy of cooperation and do not forget to follow the rules described in the model.
