Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą przedstawienia wyrazów obcych i ich polskich odpowiedników należących do terminologii językoznawczej. Ważną rolę odgrywa tu termin słowniki spolszczające, odnoszący się do słowników, których celem jest zastąpienie zapożyczeń w języku polskim wyrazami rodzimymi lub zasymilowanymi zapożyczeniami. Autorka omówiła makrostrukturę w trzech słownikach spolszczających: Xawerego F.A.E. Łukaszewskiego (1847), E.S. Kortowicza (1891) i Władysława Niedźwiedzkiego (1917). Zbadała także grupy semantyczne w obrębie terminologii lingwistycznej i sprawdziła, czy zawarte w pracach specjalistyczne słownictwo jest obecnie używane.

The paper is an attempt to present foreign words and their Polish equivalents belonging to the field of linguistic terminology. Of significance is here the term “Polonizing” dictionaries, whose goal is to replace loanwords in the Polish language with native words or assimilated borrowings. The object of description in the paper is the macrostructure of three “Polonizing” dictionaries: by Xawery F.A.E. Łukaszewski (1847), E.S. Kortowicz (1891) and Władysław Niedźwiedzki (1917). Examined are also semantic groups within the field of linguistic terminology and the author checks whether or not the specialist vocabulary contained in the lexicographic works is currently used.

The article presents and describes the motives for fighting against loanwords in specialist germanising dictionaries published in 1800-1945. In the history of opposition to loanwords in G ermany, national motives were overtly domineering, sometimes they even transformed into nationalist ones. Apart from that, the following motives appear in purist specialist lexicographic studies: cultural-patriotic (kulturpatriotische Motive), communicative (kommunikative Motive), criticizing language snobbism (verhaltenskritische Motive), esthetic (ästhetische Motive), cognitive (kognitive/erkenntnistheoretische Motive), structural (sprachstrukturelle Motive) and enlightening (bildungspraktische/aufklärerische Motive).

Artykuł przedstawia i opisuje motywy zwalczania wyrazów obcych w specjalistycznych słownikach zniemczających wydanych w latach 1800-1945. W historii walki z wyrazami obcymi w Niemczech dominujące są niewątpliwie motywy narodowe, które niekiedy przybierały formę nacjonalizmu. W purystycznych specjalistycznych pracach leksykograficznych występują też następujące motywy: kulturowo-patriotyczne (kulturpatriotische Motive), komunikacyjne (kommunikative Motive), krytyka snobizmu językowego (verhaltenskritische Motive), motywy estetyczne (ästhetische Motive), kognitywne (kognitive/erkenntnistheoretische Motive), językowo-strukturalne (sprachstrukturelle Motive) i oświeceniowe (bildungspraktische/aufklärerische Motive).
