W artykule zwracam uwagę na pewne wspólne rysy myśli pedagogicznej Jana Amosa Komeńskiego oraz pedagogów Nowego Wychowania świadczące o tym, że istnieje ciągłość problemów i ich badań w kręgu kultury śródziemnomorskiej. Z historycznej perspektywy dzielącej czasy Komeńskiego i pedagogów Nowego Wychowania wyłania się wspólnota myślenia o człowieku i jego wychowaniu, ujawnia się jedność zasad budujących rdzeń europejskiej myśli pedagogicznej. Krąg wartości, problemów badawczych, postrzeganie człowieka w jego ontogenetycznym i filogenetycznym rozwoju, zakorzenienie edukacji w bezpośrednim kontakcie z otaczającym światem, traktowanie jej jako istotnego dobra, dobra, które czyni człowieka istotą wyjątkową, są to idee przewodnie myśli pedagogicznej, w pewien sposób ponadczasowe.AbstractIn the article I draw attention to some common aspects of the pedagogical thought of Jan Amos Comenius and pedagogues of the New Education which testify to the fact that there is a continuity of problems and their research in the Mediterranean culture. From the historical perspective dividing the time of Comenius and the pedagogues of the New Education emerges the common thinking about man and his upbringing, the unity of principles building the core of European pedagogical thought is revealed. The circle of values, research problems, perception of man in his ontogenetic and phylogenetic development, embedding education in direct contact with the surrounding world and treating it as a vital good, good that makes man an exceptional being, These are the guiding ideas of pedagogical thought which are in some way timeless.
