There is no doubt that the development of listening comprehension skills in foreign language learning is one of the least understood, least researched and yet, most important areas of foreign language teaching. In the light of this, the article aims to examine the usage and role of Podcasts in comparison with other didactic listening materials. The paper concludes with the discussion of possible technical and learning potential of podcasts for designing integrative training of listening comprehension.

The Internet has become a place where more and more humanists-internauts meet and have a discussion about literature and new publications. The Internet, for the aforementioned people, is a perfect way to global access to literature. The aim of this article is to present advantages and benefi ts of popularisation of literature on the web pages, including podcasts, Audio-Readers, blogs and literary forums. Such websites are like libraries, reading-rooms or discussion groups where users are encouraged to deal with literature. There are a lot of methods for this on the Internet. Podcasts and Audio-Readers give an opportunity to play back spoken word such as poetical meetings, poetry with music background, radio plays and literary programmes; all of these may give their hearers a lot of auditory sensations. Literary blogs, which are typical Internet products, give to every potential author an opportunity to present him or herself by writing private papers or diaries. Authors of these allow other Internet users to comment, discuss or even co-operate. On the Internet forums readers and authors often collaborate and discuss. Such forums are places where reviews and periphrases are published; moreover, they arouse interest in reading among other Internet users.

Internet stał się miejscem, w którym spotyka się coraz liczniejsza rzesza aktywnych humanistów-internautów zainteresowanych literaturą, nowościami na rynku wydawniczym oraz dyskusją na ich temat. Stanowi on dla nich doskonałe narzędzie ułatwiające dostęp do literatury. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest wykazanie zalet i korzyści, jakie wypływają z możliwości upowszechniania literatury na różnych stronach internetowych, do których należą m.in. podcastingi, Audio-Readery, blogi i fora literackie. Strony te są swoistym rodzajem bibliotek, czytelni oraz miejscem spotkań kreatywno-literackich i dyskusyjnych, w ramach których użytkownicy Internetu są zachęcani do obcowania z literaturą. Sposobów na to jest w Internecie wiele. Podcastingi i Audio-Readery, dające możliwość odtworzenia słowa mówionego, np. wieczorów poetyckich, poezji z podkładem muzycznym, słuchowisk i audycji literackich, mogą dostarczyć wielu wrażeń audytywnych. Blogi literackie, będące typowym wytworem Internetu, dają każdemu potencjalnemu autorowi możliwość zaprezentowania siebie oraz prowadzenia prywatnych zapisków i dzienników. Dopuszczają też innych użytkowników Internetu do komentowania, dyskusji, a nawet współtworzenia. Do kooperacji i dyskusji między czytelnikami, a także między autorami i czytelnikami dochodzi w ramach forów internetowych, będących miejscem publikacji recenzji i omówień utworów literackich oraz rozbudzania zainteresowań czytelniczych wśród internautów.
