The development of modern entrepreneurship research began some 50 years ago. In the meantime, various definitions of entrepreneurship led to different interpretations of its scope, and subsequently, the entrepreneurial myths emerged. This topic was studied quite intensively in the 1980s and 1990s, and numerous results succeeded in demystifying most of the entrepreneurial myths. Despite that, the entrepreneurial myths persist and regularly appear on the web portals, media, and bloggers’ articles. On the other side, contemporary entrepreneurship textbooks include entrepreneurial myths as a lesson which could eliminate some obstacles for the nascent entrepreneurs. This study revealed that the entrepreneurial myths are somewhat present among younger examinees, nonentrepreneurs in Croatia, who have a low or medium level of education. Still, not even these demographic groups view those myths as realities. Further analysis pointed out that there is a statistically significant, although negative and weak correlation between the perception of entrepreneurial myths as myths (not as realities) and a higher level of entrepreneurial intentions.

Razvoj suvremenih istraživanja u području poduzetništva započeo je prije pedesetak godina. U međuvremenu, ponuđene su različite definicije poduzetništva koje su dovele do raznolikih interpretacija obuhvata poduzetništva te naposlijetku do nastanka poduzetničkih mitova. Ova tema je intenzivno istraživana 1980-ih i 1990-ih te su brojni rezultati uspješno demistificirali većinu poduzetničkih mitova. Usprkos tome, poduzetnički mitovi opstaju i redovito se pojavljuju na web portalima, u medijima i člancima blogera. S druge strane suvremeni udžbenici poduzetništva uključuju poduzetničke mitove kao lekciju koja može eliminirati neke prepreke za nove poduzetnike. Ovim istraživanjem utvrđeno je da su poduzetnički mitovi ponešto prisutni među mlađim, niže obrazovanim, ispitanicima ne-poduzetnicima u Hrvatskoj. Ipak, niti ove skupine ispitanika u prosjeku ne drže poduzetničke mitove, realnošću. Daljnja analiza je istaknula da postoji statistički značajna, ali slaba i negativna povezanost između percepcije poduzetničkih mitova kao mitova (ne kao realnosti) i više razine poduzentičkih namjera.

Suvremeni način življenja, uvođenje tehnologije u sve sfere života, netolerantnost te želja za neovisnošću i uspjehom stvorili su novu generaciju poduzetnika, takozvanu Z generaciju. Generacija mladih ljudi koji dolaze na tržište rada s novim pogledom na svijet postaju sve zanimljiviji znanstvenicima, a njihova želja za ostvarenjem poduzetničkih ideja postaje glavna tema svih generacija ljudi. Z generacija, zbog svojih specifičnosti, moći stvaranja trenda te navika koje posjeduje postaje glavna tema ovog rada. Cilj rada je istražiti radi li se doista o novoj generaciji poduzetnika kroz karakteristike koje posjeduju pripadnici Z generacije te koliko tehnologija utječe na kreiranje njihove svijesti tj. buduće poslovne ideje. U radu će se primarnim i sekundarnim istraživanjem detaljnije pojasniti cilj rada kao i postavljene hipoteze. Sekundarnim istraživanjem autorica će utvrditi dolazi li doista s godinama do povećanja broja poduzetnika u Republici Hrvatskoj koji su pokazatelj povezanosti tehnologije i poduzetništva dok će fokus primarnog istraživanja biti na Z generaciji, njihovim navikama, idejama, prihvaćanju tehnologije kao suvremenom načinu življenja te na koji način mladi iskorištavaju tehnologiju i usmjeravaju je prema ostvarenju svojeg cilja. Na samom kraju rada utvrdit će se koliko su mladi stvarno zainteresirani za poduzetništvo i samozapošljavanje te ima li utjecaj rano poimanje poduzetništva na ostvarenje vlastitog poduzetničkog pothvata.

The modern way of life, the introduction of technology in every aspect of our lives, impatience, as well as the desire for independence and success, have created a new generation of entrepreneurs, the so-called Z generation. A new generation of young people entering the job market with a new worldview is becoming more interesting to scientists, and their desire to come up with entrepreneurial ideas is attracting the interest of all generations. The Z generation has become the main theme of this paper because of its characteristics, habits and the power to create trends. This paper aims to investigate whether this really is a new generation of entrepreneurs through the characteristics exhibited by its members, and how much technology influences the creation of their awareness, i.e. future business ideas. The primary and secondary research will explain in more detail the aim of the paper as well as the set hypotheses. The primary research will focus on the Z generation, their habits, ideas, the adoption of technology as a modern way of life and how the youth exploits technology in pursuit of their goal. The secondary research will determine whether there is indeed an increase in the number of entrepreneurs in the Republic of Croatia and whether it is an indicator of the connection between technology and entrepreneurship. The final part of the paper will determine young people’s level of interest in entrepreneurship and self-employment, and whether the early understanding of entrepreneurship has an impact on the realization of their entrepreneurial venture.

The concept of a bank has a long history of origin, but a short history in relation to as it is known today. The first traces of banking can historically be placed at a time when money was deposited with jewelers, but over time, the practice of lending surplus money has evolved, which is why its concept of commerce has changed. The subject of this study and research is the bank, primarily as a joint stock company. It reveals issues of functioning banks and banking, the relationship between the bank and other financial institutions, the financial and banking system, and the role and meaning of non-bank financial intermediaries. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the role and importance of banks in business, and to discover the degree of influence on other institutions. By elaborating on labor issues, it highlights their economic importance in financial globalization. The aim of this paper is to get to know its main tasks for which it was founded and the process of transformation of banking services in the global framework, especially in entrepreneurship. A research hypothesis has been formed: financial globalization affects the rapid development of banking, and reveals the great influence of the banking sector on other institutions. During this research several basic scientific methods were used (compilation method, descriptive method, specification and generalization methods and comparison method). Attention is placed on the comparison of the role and importance of the banking industry in the past and in the modern business world. The emphasis is placed on comparing the role and importance of the banking sector in the past and in the modern business world. The analysis of the development of banking and entrepreneurship forms a quality framework for further research, and gives an added value to the readers in terms of a better understanding of the differences between financial institutions, supported by practical examples of selected global banks in the global market.

Banka ima svoju dugu povijest nastanka, ali u odnosu na to kratku prošlost kakvu je svijet poznaje danas. Prvi tragovi bankarstva se mogu povijesno smjestiti u doba kada se novac polagao na čuvanje kod zlatara, ali tijekom vremena se razvila praksa pozajmljivanja viškova novca, zbog čega se mijenja i njezin koncept poslovanja. Predmet ovog istraživanja jest banka, kao dioničko društvo. Otkrivaju se odgovori vezani za pitanja o funkcioniranju banaka i bankarstva, objašnjavaju se odnosi banke i ostalih financijskih institucija, financijskog i bankarskog sustava te se iznosi uloga i značenje nebankarskih financijskih posrednika. Svrha rada jest ukazati na ulogu i značaj banaka u poslovanju i otkriti stupanj utjecaja na druge institucije. Elaborirajući izneseno, naglašava se ekonomski značaj u financijskoj globalizaciji. Cilj rada jest objasniti proces transformacije bankarskih usluga u globalnom okviru i poduzetništvu. Formirana je istraživačka hipoteza: financijska globalizacija utječe na brži razvoj bankarstva i na veći utjecaj bankarskog sektora na druge institucije. Tijekom istraživanja korišteno je nekoliko osnovnih znanstvenih metoda (metoda kompilacije, metoda deskripcije, metoda specifikacije i generalizacije te metoda usporedbe). Naglasak je stavljen na usporedbu uloge i značaja bankarskog sektora u prošlosti i u suvremenom poslovnom svijetu. Analizom razvoja bankarstva i poduzetništva se formira kvalitetan okvir za daljnje istraživanje, a dodana vrijednost čitatelju u pogledu boljeg razumijevanja razlike među financijskim institucijama, čemu doprinose i izdvojeni praktični primjeri odabranih globalnih banaka na globalnom tržištu.

Konflikt između učenika kao mogući početak krizne situacije u školi dio je školskog procesa i s njim se redovito susreću nastavnici i stručni suradnici. Međutim, konflikt, iako može izazvati krizu, s druge strane, otvara mogućnosti za uspostavljanje bolje i adekvatnije komunikacije među učenicima i stvara prostor za učenje o nenasilnom komuniciranju, medijaciji kao formi rješavanja sukoba te asertivnom zastupanju svojih stavova i uvjerenja, što dugoročno vodi ka jačanju i poduzetničkih kompetencija. Iako se neki vršnjački konflikti zadržavaju samo na razini učenika i eventualno nastavnika u razredu, kada sukobi eskaliraju redovito se traži pomoć stručnih suradnika u školi poput psihologa ili pedagoga. Kakva je komunikacijska uloga tih profesionalaca u procesu medijacije između učenika, kojim tehnikama se oni služe u svom savjetodavnom radu, primjećuju li pomake ili promjene u ponašanju učenika nakon provedene medijacije, što se u njihovoj praksi pokazuje kao najuspješnija metoda svladavanja i razumijevanja konflikta, dio je ispitivanja ovoga rada kroz dubinske intervjue. S druge strane, rad analizira i percepciju učenika kroz anketni upitnik. Javljaju li se stručnim suradnicima za pomoć, kako rješavaju i upravljaju svojim konfliktima, što im je potrebno da prevladaju sukob, te razvijaju li svoje poduzetničke kompetencije, neka su od problemskih pitanja ovoga rada. U nastojanju da se prepoznaju kapaciteti savjetodavnoga rada i uloge medijacije stručnih suradnika u vršnjačkim sukobima u školi, za istraživačku analizu odabrana je Srednja škola Metković, s ciljem determiniranja uloge pedagoga i psihologa u kriznoj situaciji rješavanja učeničkih konflikata kroz primjer iz prakse. Istraživanje je pokazalo kako stručni suradnici imaju ulogu u procesu rješavanja konflikata između učenika, međutim postoji prostor za poboljšanje u smislu dodatnog uključivanja stručnih suradnika u savjetodavni rad s učenicima te rad u edukaciji učenika o ulozi medijacije u interpersonalnoj komunikaciji i poduzetništvu.

Conflict between students, as a possible beginning of a crisis situation at school, is an integral part of the school process and is regularly encountered by teachers and professional associates. However, conflict, although it can cause a crisis, opens up opportunities for establishing better and more adequate communication among students as much as it creates space for learning about nonviolent communication, mediation as a form of conflict resolution and assertive representation of their attitudes, beliefs and entrepreneurial competencies. Although some peer conflicts persist only at the student level and possibly teachers in the classroom, when conflicts escalate, the aid from professional school associates such as psychologists or pedagogues is regularly sought. What is the communication role of these professionals in the process of mediation between students, what techniques they use in their counseling work, whether they notice changes in student behavior after mediation, which in their practice proves to be the most successful method of overcoming and understanding conflict - the paper examines all these aspects through in-depth interviews. On the other hand, the paper also analyzes students’ perception through a survey questionnaire. Whether they turn to professional associates for help, how they resolve and manage their conflicts, what they need to overcome conflict, and whether they develop their entrepreneurial competencies are some of the problematic issues of this paper. In an effort to identify the capacity of counseling and the role of mediation of professional associates in peer conflicts at school, Metković High School was selected for research analysis, with the aim of determining the role of pedagogues and psychologists in critical situations of student conflicts through practical examples. The research showed that professional associates have a role in the process of resolving conflicts among students, but there is room for improvement in terms of additional involvement of professional associates in counseling and educating students on the role of mediation in interpersonal communication and entrepreneurship.
