This research develops AR in the form of Smart Indonesia Maps, which display information about natural features, geography, flora and fauna, culture, and social life on Indonesian islands in real-time. The objective of this research was to develop an AR-based Smart Indonesia Maps model as a digital learning resource in social studies learning. Embracing a Research and Development model has completed the preliminary field-testing stage of all ten stages of research. Limited trials were undertaken at state/private junior high schools in Bandung City, Bandung Regency, and West Bandung Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia, with the students and teachers as the research subjects. The data collection techniques included observation, interviews, document studies, focus group discussions, and attitude scale questionnaires. The results demonstrate that: Smart Indonesia Maps consist of main material objects by revealing the culture of the five major islands in Indonesia. The production of the model constituted three stages, namely pre-production, production, and post-production. The model was quite effective in fostering student critical thinking and creativity.

This article discusses the role of parents in death education through exposure to death in the broader environment and in the context of Kashubian (a Baltic west-Slavic tribe) death rites. Home education seems to be significant, considering the critical situations embedded in every life. Understanding the reality of death is a lifelong process, thus, education about death should start early, avoiding didactic discourse and misleading concepts. The objective of this paper is to present children as competent forgers of meaning while participating in death rites, so gaining a better understanding of finality.

The presented article was an attempt to explore the differential concept building by teaching students of the elementary level through activity-based instruction. An experiment was conducted in a public sector secondary school on students of grade 6 in teaching of social studies. The major finding of the current showed that concept building was made easier and understandable by teaching students with the use of activity-based instruction as compared to lecture-based instruction in teaching of social studies. It was further explored that the academic achievement of students taught with the use of activity-based instruction was significantly better than that of students taught with the use of lecture-based instruction. Therefore, it was suggested that the effects of activity-based instruction can be investigated by teaching other subjects using this method and teachers may be trained in how to teach their respective subjects with the use of the activity-based teaching method.

In 1978, in the Holy See, all communication took place thanks to the analogue technology of text, sound and image recording. In the following years, the progress in computer science, made it possible to save any kind of data in the form of digital recording, so that one could collect data and transfer it to any place in an instant. Digitalization also allowed the Vatican to create a new model of communication with the modern world. This model was first based on the capabilities of computer networks and then on the Internet. It was first tested by the Holy See in Latin America. The experience of the Latin American Church’s Computer Network (RIIAL) was transferred to the Vatican, and then developed and proposed by John Paul II to the entire Universal Church. This model of digital communication would not have been possible without collaborators such as John Patrick Foley, Judith Zoebelein, Joaquin Navarro-Valls and a group of lay Catholics and clergy from Latin America. It was thanks to them that the Holy See began to communicate digitally through the World Wide Web and to use e-mail in a relatively short time since their invention. The present analysis concerns the creation of a digital model of communication during the pontificate of John Paul II (1978–2005).The inclusion of social media in the communication model of the Vatican, took place during the successors of the Pope from Poland.

This study aims to describe a culture-based social studies learning model to foster student multiculturalism. Research and Development design was employed, with junior high school students in Sumedang Indonesia as the subjects of the research. The proposed model is a strategy for crafting a learning environment and experience that integrate culture as inevitable part of the learning process. The teaching materials encompass the diversity of Indonesian cultures. Culture-based learning steps manifest in multiculturalism class contracts, delivery of introductory materials, library inquiry, demonstration of cultural performance, modeling/guest teachers, and value clarification technique (VCT) cultural value analysis, material review and reflection of multiculturalism values. The model significantly influenced the development of student multiculturalism.

In search of the starting points of the title concept one can focus on the EU law as a broadly viewed basis encompassing the accession of the states to the European Union, thus their membership. In this context the following important question may be asked, i.e. where we obtain the knowledge of the European Union. Referring to the juridical correlation in place, we would then say that the answer lies in the respective treaty of the primary law of the EU It goes without saying that this answer is not subject to doubt. However, the answer itself does not prove comprehensive when we differentiate the foundation of the European Union, then the formal membership, and its development affiliation. Generally speaking, the first two areas legitimise the above presented 'from where' in a different way from the way it is subject to legitimisation in the third area. The particle gains in importance as we still tend to (ultimately) explain the development of the European Union through the European legislation. One can apply this approach, yet one should also bear in mind that such action proves, above all, one-sided. The action primarily proves anti-developmental as it finds itself unable to shed light on the EU in the numerous aspects of its functioning. For the reasons given above, the main thesis of the paper is that, in the methodological ways of examining the thought, the European Union should be subject to examination through the EU as a community, i.e. the EU within the EU To help exemplify the reasoning, I applied the familiar inter, which is broadly applied in the methodologies of science. I ascribe the generation of new concepts to it, the ones that allow to examine the complex structures of the EU, and through the examination it is hoped to coin new postulates that concern the steering of the EU as a way of practice. Undoubtedly, the inter is reconstructed on grounds of the up-to-date knowledge of itself. Only then do we conceptualise it, and arising out of this conceptualisation, we would reconstruct the postulates aimed at the EU, yet not in the narrow-juridical categories as the EU law does not exhibit a separately differentiated theory.

The article presents three estates of Wrocław – Brochów, Leśnica and Psie Pole, which were selected as the subject of study because of their former self-reliance as towns. After a brief outlining of the characteristics of historical, architectural and spatial qualities attention was focuse inter alia on the assessment of the extent to which the atmosphere of the ancient towns has an influence today on its residents. Empirical studies have confirmed connections of the inhabiting community with its urban space, emerging from a system of values, knowledge and imagination that foster a sense of identity and help identification with the given area. The climate of the former towns such as Brochów, Leśnica and Psie Pole due to retaining their one-time urban and spatial systems forms the feelings of its inhabitants towards comprehending their identity. And so, care of space is very important not only due to its priceless value but also because its adequate shaping helps in maintaining proper social relations.
